Hey Web,
Totters here.
I would recommend you find like minded people to figure this problem out.
I play a restoration shaman. On the Classic.
I've had mixed responses from my healing experience. I too am working on raiding/ and some pvp/ i have made it up to Twin Emperors. I helped my guild out of a jam, and then we couldn't move forward with the next boss/s, and it was another road block.
I found your post interesting.
I like the part about bis and set bonus/s.
I find myself in the same mix...
Currently I raid with a full T1 shaman only set. With points in reduced healing wave talents to shorten the cast time. *All of .5 points" or seconds w/e
I'm having fun playing with the set bonus' and the restoration talent tree.
The little bits I've read about druids are from shaman discussion posts.
Curtailed to this discussion I opted for the 8/8 tier 1 set bonus while prioritizing max rank healing wave (the longer heartier of my shamans 3 healing spell)
In short, it works like this...
Cast Healing Wave on target.
My results vary.
Arguably BIS will take over, but I find it fun to experiment with new and exciting things.
With my limited healing experience it's worth the 100g re-specialization.

My heal, is similar to a chain heal.
Behaving with a,
main target heal
///split, /////*see 8/8 set piece bonus
second target healed
////split, ///*see aforementioned
third target healed.
Minus the chain heal graphics,
Having hit the wall. I am looking to raid some more and acquire more time on my character.
Please message me back as I would love to further discuss this topic openly with you.
