You can heal heroic violet hold, nexus, and utgarde keep with questing gear and a halfway decent tank.
I know I did with 1100-1200 unbuffed healing.
With a good tank, you can heal most every heroic with 1300-1400 +heals, depending on your other stats, talents, and your group members.
And don't forget, if your group is $%^&ty, use cc!
Just because everyone likes to run through things, doesn't mean you shouldn't speak up if you are iffy on the gear/experience.
