[Scripting] Frame size & combat
Return to board index
Is it possible to change the size of a frame while being in combat?
Lets say I have a frame with 3 icons inside it. During combat, I want a 4th icon to show up into the frame, but initialy, there is only the space for 3 icons. Is it possible to make the frame larger to put the 4th icon into it?
Sure, as long as the frame isn't inheriting any secure templates, you should just be able to register for the combat start/stop events and place your resize code there.

Just to be sure my english is not tricking me... I mean during combat, not just when I enter/leave it, right?
Yes, you can alter frame attributes (including size) during combat. I just misunderstood you, and thought you wanted the frame to expand when you entered combat, and collapsed when you left.
If you were simply asking if you can modify frames while in combat, the answer is yes, except when the frame inherits some sort of secure template (button, action bar, etc.) Those frames will be locked while in combat (for the most part).
