Seal of Blood for tanking?
Return to board index
Right now I am 64 protection paladin, using some sword with low dps but some spell damage. Until I get the ones that actually give significant bonus, and maybe even after, do you think using a weapon with high dps and no spell damage (warrior/hunter/rogue 1h sword/mace) AND Seal of Blood, instead of low dps + spell damage and Seal of Righteousness, might be a good idea?
My SoR does 85-86 per hit, 133 with SotC. SoB does 75-85 on every hit, but I know it's based on attack speed and damage, so a weapon with higher dps with have more white damage and more holy damage from SoB.

SoB DPS is not Dependant on speed
SoR damage is also effected by speed the same way
slower weapon = more damage with SoR or SoB but DPS will be the same
Guess I didn't explain myself very well... I meant solo/duo PvE. A Judgement of Light should be enough to compensate most of the damage I cause to myself, if not more than it. And because I still want maximum profit off Reckoning, I don't want to use weapon with attack speed greater than 2.00, where the most heavy DPS weapons lay.
So SoB is completely useless for protection paladin?
prot paladins don't have much SD or str, which is where a paladin's damage can come from
I prefer AoE grinding in my tanking gear or going with a high spell damage 1 hander and SD gear for mineral farming
