Seem to be stuck in a rut

I cannot seem to find quests that will help me gain experience points. I have been stuck at level 83 / Rouge for several months. I am seeing quests available, (by the yellow "!",) but when I get there, there are no quests offered. I can't seem to find a way to open up the chain of quests again so I can progress past level 83. Any suggestions?

Is the "show low level quests" tracking on? That could explain why you're seeing quests available on your minimap but not finding level-appropriate quests available.

Also, where are you questing? At level 83, you should be midway through Uldum content, preparing for Twilight Highlands. If you're in the right zone, check it's page to see where the quest hubs are located - perhaps you've cleaned out a region but haven't visited another area of the zone.

A last suggestion is to use something like the Wowhead Client addon that collects data on what quests have been completed, among other things. If you upload that data to the site, you'll be able to see more explicitly what quests a character has and has not completed.

Yes, my "low level" tracking is on and I have finished them. I honestly think I may have abandoned or missed a quest somewhere that was the start in a chain of quests thus leaving me with either quests that I cannot complete yet do to the boss' level.

I have completed a few quests in Uldum, but I there are some quests that are just kicking my backside and I figured it was because I wasn't a higher level.

I do have Everyquest and Quest Complete loaded and running. They are showing a lot of quests, but the lists do not seem accurate. They will show a quests available that are not offered when I get to the quest giver and they are showing some quests uncompleted that I know I have completed.

I think this is an "operator error" here! LOL

Wowpedia has a list of all the quests there in the order they are offered, "Tol'vir" and "The Coffer of Promise" are separate chains once you completed the initial quests. Try checking with that page to look for quests you might have missed - I could imagine you overlooked the breadcrumb quest leading you to Harrison Jones and the Coffer questline.
If a Wowpedia article on a quest does not provide enough information regarding the location, remember that there will always be a link to the quest on Wowhead at the bottom.
