if you have the talents
Misery
and
Shadow Focus
do you still need 289 hit? or can you just get 5% hit

Spell Hit (Until 289 ) > Spellpower > Crit >= Haste > Spirit >= Int.
This seems mostly correct, although crit is MUCH better then haste
No, it isn't. Crit is 0.05 pseudo-power better than Haste, according to Shadowpriest.com's Simcraft projections, point for point. That is not "MUCH" better; it's
ever so slightly
better. You can bring in all the arguments you like against that, but they've all already been taken into account by the projections, and the result is a difference of 0.05 PP.
Int > Spirit. The majority of your mana regen comes from having a really big mana pool. The crit is nice too.
When I'm a healer, I'll start caring about regen above DPS. Yes, the crit is nice, too, but that's where the
entire
PP value of Int comes from (It's about 0.13 per point, compared to Spirit's 0.11-0.19 per point, depending on crit chance). The difference is minimal -- favouring one over the other for the sake of 0.01-0.02 pseudopower is very silly. Hence, >=.
theoretically, crit is only .05 PS > haste, but it depends on play style as well, and how well you keep dots up, is MB perpetually on cooldown, etc. for me, i find crit much more useful then haste, however, i dont go out of my way on gear to get it.
as for spirit and int, i like to balance them a little bit,but i more worry about the other stats on the gear, spirit got huge nerfs for spriests way back in beta unfourtunatley that would have made spirit very useful

ok i haven't played WoW in a bit but all spell costs are percentages right? well percentages are all relative. 100 mana=20000mana 10% of 100=10 and 10% of 20000=2000 so it goes down at the same right? unless your a class has talents based off of int then dont bother with it. SP is now more about spirit then int. so dont worry about int anymore gg blizz
No.
Spell cost are based on base mana, not max mana.
And int, in the case of a shadow priest, is not particularly favored simply because it does not increase dps as much as other stats. Simple at that... Go look at the Disc thread, we <3 Int over there.
Oh, and one last thing. Even as a shadow priest, having a big mana pool is nice, because replenishment and shadow fiend both return mana based on max mana, so they more mana you have, they more MP5.
