Nuhm smirked bitterly. "You don't have to tell me that," Nuhm said sourly, thinking of his past. "That's why I'm glad to have Praey along, she keeps me company - in more ways than one sometimes - doesn't expect anything in return, we travel, drink. No commitment, no muss, no fuss."
Praey's eyes snapped back to Talia and she shook her head violently, he dreads waving and rattling. "Nope, nona dat," she said quickly, blinking a few times. She did not want to get on this womans bad side. "Jus' sam drinks."
Ashiena tilted her head and studied Koran curiously. "Are you a dragon?" she finally asked, remembering the flash of red scales she saw.
"Congratulations," Berkana smiled at Tristan, clapping her hands together and looking at her new scars. "That was wonderful! You are talented child, very talented indeed. Was it difficult to continue the spell after my own had finished?"

"Luck you." Tae said and shook his head. "I travel a lot alone; Karel went off to help reorganize the Church after that cock up with the Archbishop. I'm only stuck with Mari and Koran for now because of other situations." He said and looked down at his hands. "She's promised to help me with some magic I need, but I still don't trust her."
"I'm surprised." Talia said, chuckling a little. "A woman like you, thought he would do everything in his power to get you in his bed." She raised a hand and absently caused an ice crystal to appear above it, and began to twist and shape it, looking down. "Wouldn't have blamed him; I always thought I was too plain of Mr Beautiful." She said the last part really quietly.
Kiran blinked at Ashiena then chuckled. He held out his arms and pulled up his sleeves, showing her his forearms. "No, I'm not a dragon. I'm as mortal as you are." He told her. "I'm just a Sworn; servant of the Reds...seemed the best thing to do, after they saved my life."

Isiria nodded, stepping aside Tebrion, "I have a feeling those are not animals," she stated quietly.

"Well you've got Praey now, like I said you can have her," Nuhm snorted. "If she ever came home to find you with someone else she would just join in," he laughed, rolling his eyes. The warlocks ears perked up at the mention of magic. "Oh?" he questioned, taking another sip of his flask.
Praey blushed furiously, her cheeks turning a dark purpley blue as she tried to move on from her and Tae'sash.
"Yah ah beautiful," Praey commented back with a small smile. "Stop tinkin' dat eet was samfin' dat yah did, dat man is a hurricane, ain't no where ees goin' next. Hurricanes an' straw huts dun make good couples."
"Oh," Ashiena said quietly, not really knowing exactly what he meant. "So.. you serve the dragons then? But you're not one. Why were you... scaley?"
Berkana folded her hands in her lap and shifted to better face the boy. "Now, Tristan," she said, looking him in the eyes. "Can you try to recreate that, just from memory? Or not at all?"

"Perhaps we shouldn't get involved," she trailed off, wringing her hands together nervously. There were quite a few of them.

"Yes." Tae said and held up both hands. His eyes half closed as he focused and a small phoenix erupted between his hands....then suddenly dissipated. "My family's mark of magic is a Phoenix; if I could just summon one, I could help them out with some troubles. That's where Mari comes in; she can teach me how to create a full one, and how to keep it under control." He told Nuhm, sitting back, breathing a little hard.
"I uh...I suppose so." Talia said, feeling her own cheeks flush at that. She coughed and looked around for a different subject, her eyes focusing on the warlock. "What about him? What's he to you?" She asked the troll, a twinkle in her eye.
"It's part of the way I was trained. Most Sworn are just given some powerful objects from the Flights to help them...but my Master decided to try something different." Kiran said and closed his eyes. Along his arms, scales began to appear again, and his fingers started to stretch out into claws. "Scales of the dragon for protection, claws of the dragon to cut through anything." He said, his voice slightly dreamy. "The Reds felt this might work better...but well, I'm sure you know what happened to the Temple." He trailed off, looking down at his arms.

After the boy had managed to recreate a nature spell, Axe wondered if he could magically recreate a physical skill. Axe took out a lighter axe he used as a thrown weapon, while still being as heavy as a one-handed axe, and passed it to him "Boy, try to copy Axe's skill. If you can turn arcane magic into nature magic, care to try turning yer magic into a physical skill?" Axe grabbed one of his massive cleavers, and with a hero's temper, he threw it to a tree. The axe landed into the tree, burying itself deep. "Want to try copying it?" Axe laughed
