After quite a while of flying, their destination was in sight. Nuhm was glad that he didn't have to go into the town. He circled on his wyvern, clutching to the animals back. "Thank the sun that we will be back on the ground soon," the elf murmured to himself.

Praey was curious about Amberpine but figured it would probably be best if she waited back with Nuhm and Axe. The priestess wasn't entirely sure how the Alliance would react to a six foot troll entering their village. She hummed to herself as she awaited their descent.

Ashiena
Grizzly Hills

Ashiena had no clue how to tame this beast. It was entirely individual to the animal. Some of her pets, like Mali her black lion, she had patiently waited weeks while slowly gaining the trust of the animal. Others, like Doof, she had to face and proove she was not afraid before he would finally join her side. Other's still, like Padfoot the tiger, she had to wrestle into submission.

Maybe me waiting here for days is enough? Ashiena thought hopelessly. She didn't think she could fight it - the bear was mere smoke, after all.

After several minutes, the huntress made a move. She gingerly took a step forward, hand held out with palm up. "Spirit Beast..." she said soothingly, not looking Arcturis directly in the eye. "Please, I would be honoured to have yah by my side, to have us fight for eachotha. protect eachotha."

Ashiena continued to walk, slowly, until she was standing only a few feet away from the great bear. Finally, she looked up into the beasts eyes. "I would be honoured if yah would be my brotha," she finished.

A long second passed before the bear roared, the sound deafening. Before Ashiena could react, the great beast lifted its mammoth paw and swiped. Pain erupted in Ashiena's body from her shoulder to her thigh as she was tossed like a doll.

It appeared that the bear was not just smoke afterall.

Llynarai Runesong
Howling Fjord

The snow was thicker now, Llynarai barely begin able to see a few feet outside of their cave. The other woman lit the fire, and Llynarai nodded in thanks, settling down on the floor and rubbing her shoulder absently.

"I never got your name," she finally said simply, looking up at the other elf.

Berkana (Bear-KANA) Greenroot
Amberpine

Berkana is a night elf druid, sworn to the Green Dragonfight. She has light, pinky purple skin, glowing silver eyes and long dark green hair, usually tied in a low side ponytail. She wears Nightsong armor ((druid tier 8)) and has small, budding antlers on her forehead.

Berkana sat in the tavern/common room of the inn in Amberpine, reading over a tome about the Blacks, looking for any information she might have missed. The elf paused her reading, taking a sip of her pure spring water and glancing out the window. The travellers should be here soon, she mused before going back to her reading.

Talia Martin, Kiran Hartford
Grizzly Hills

"There." Talia said, pointing down at a clearing. "That's a good spot to wait; look after them Kiran." She told the younger man who sighed but nodded as he sent his gryphon downwards. "Tristan, keep up." She said to the human as she continued on towards the town.

"Work work work." Kiran grumbled as his gryphon landed. "Lie down girl." He told her, patting her on the head as he walked around, looking for firewood. He wasn't sure how long Talia would be in Amberpine, but figured they didn't have to wait in the cold.

Grizzly Hills

"Are we there yet?" Tae said with a false whine, grinning at Mari as she growled up at him again.

"I will roll over and drop you to your death." The Blue told him, making the Blood Elf laugh again. The group was currently on their way to Amberpine as well, intending to meet up with someone.

Praey and Nuhm both landed their wyverns, the latter very very happy that he was out of Dalaran and back on solid ground.

Praey removed her cloak, drapping it on Skybanes back and patting the winged lion on the head. She headed over towards Kiran. "Ah'll help yah gadda wood," the priestess offered, thankful for the opportunity to stretch her legs.

Shivering, Nuhm reached into a small pouch on his hip and pulled out a small, pulsating crystal. He turned it in his hands slowly, smirking slightly as he stared into the purple force inside. Finally, murmuring some Erudun, he crushed the crystal, summoning a void from which he called for Karbaash, his Felguard.

"Wood," Nuhm said simply, pointing in the direction of Kiran and Praey.

Berkana took another sip of her water. Any time now..

Ashiena screamed in pain as the bear took another lunge towards her, massive teeth bared.

Kiran gave a small cough and nodded, resolutely staring at the ground as the troll woman helped him. I am pathetic. He thought to himself, shaking his head, gathering up a large stack of wood.

Mari landed a bit away from the town and transformed back into her mortal form, pulling her cloak tight around her body and face; she still had issues with random patches of blue scales appearing on her mortal form. "Cast the spell Tae." She ordered and the Blood Elf gave a sigh of disgust as he snapped his fingers and his features blurred and changed: Now, instead of a Blood Elf, there was a High Elf standing there with Tae's standard sneer.

"I hate this." He muttered, trudging after the other two towards Amberpine.

Tristan's gryphon landed quickly, and the boy flopped out of the saddle after tripping on his way out of it. He scrambled to his feet, not looking around before running after Talia, "Coming!" he exclaimed, keeping a hand on his cloak to keep it from flapping around everywhere.

Lying had never been the elf's strong point, so she took her chances, "Alexxa," she muttered, staring at the fire.

"Are there none here with stomach for battle against those which spurn the most blessed Light? To slay a dragon most foul! None at all?" Gunter hollered once more. His steely eyes swept the room, challenging any who would meet his gaze.

Location: Ratchet

"I tell you Damon it could be done!"

"I don't care, sir. Tying oneself to a ballista bolt in order to attack a dragon in flight would be unwise."

"See? This, this right here. This is why invention is stagnating," Damon responded, waving his hand airily as he marched through the gate of Ratchet, Damon close by his side as always.

Talia clicked at Ladyfingers who made a strange almost purr like sound as she walked over to the gryphon and sat down beside it, her bright eyes locked on her rider. "See you soon." The half-elf said, waving at the hippogryph as she headed towards the town hall-inn in the center of Amberpine. "Be respectful, don't talk back and for the love of the Naaru, don't say anything stupid." She told Tristan.

Tristan opened his mouth, about to say something, then closed it, settling on something easier and universally not-stupid, "Okay," he said, simply, with a wary expression. The boy fell into stride a few steps away from Talia and tried to avoid gawking at anything for too long.

Talia slowed for a moment and looked back at him. "It's really nothing against you lad, it's just the person we'll be talking to is a major stickler when it comes to manners; you don't want to make them angry, trust me on that." She told him, then quickened her pace again.

The other group entered the town and looked up at the central building. "Pretty." Tae said sarcastically, giving a resident a glare before following the others toward the inn.

"So," Praey started, smiling at Kiran. "Tell me 'boutcha self elfie," she stated, bending over to pick up some sticks off the ground.

Nuhm sighed contentedly as Karbaash did the lifting for him. He found himself a nice comfortable spot and settled in, sitting crosslegged and wrapping the cloak around himself like a blanket. He could hear screams coming from somewhere to his left, but chose to ignore it. The warlock looked nervously towards Amberpine, hoping the others would hurry up.

Berkana shifted in her seat a little bit, not enjoying the uncomfortable wooden chairs in this inn.

Kiran made sure he was looking away as the Troll woman bent over and shrugged. "Not much to tell; I was raised by servants of the Wyrmrest Temple after my family died when I was very young. There was a great man in the Temple but..." He trailed off, his eyes looking no where as the memory crossed his mind. He shook his head, trying to clear it and coughed. "What about you? What do you do?" He asked her, trying to change the subject.

Talia and Tristan entered the inn, and the magus looked around, trying to find her contact. "Where are they?" She muttered.

From the opposite side of the building, Mari and her group entered, also looking for someone. Tae scanned the people in the inn, same as he always did, and choked suddenly, his eyes widening as he saw a feared figure on the other side. "Oh this is not my day." He muttered, trying to duck down behind Mari.

Nuhm picked at his nails, bored already.

Berkana stood and dipped her head to the others, her hands clasped in front of her. "Greetings," she smiled to the others. "It's good to see you all."

"The city of the Undead?" Kiran asked, shuddering a little. "I've seen some of those Forsaken before around the Temple, they aren't something I enjoy being around." He opened his mouth to say more when he stopped, hearing a sound like a scream. "Did you hear that?" He asked Praey.

"Ah, so they sent you did they?" Talia asked with a small grin, returning the bow. "I've heard about you from some of my friends; greetings." She said and looked over at Tristan. "Introduce yourself." She told him then looked over at the other group; the one in the front she knew from too well but the others she had never met before.

"Hello Berkana." Mari said, smiling at the Night Elf. "This is Koran Lighthammer." She said, motioning at the half-dwarf. "And he's no one." She said, pointing at Tae who tried to keep his face hidden.

Talia looked at the male elf, her eyes narrowed.

"Uh, right!" he looked at everyone, waving a bit. "I'm Tristan Lionel," after a few minutes of awkward pause, he did a somewhat jerky, unrefined bow.

The warrior was about to cross the border out of Grizzly Hills when a deafening roar tore through his head. Wincing slightly, he looked down from his gryphon and gasped in awe as he saw a spirit beast.

How many are there in existence? Five... six... I'm sure I can make some mon-- hang on...

He lost his train of thought as he saw the figure of a troll caught his eye next to the beast.

In a moment, his screeching gryphon was plunging downwards towards the beast who was mauling the troll, throwing down his shield to try and daze it, at least for a little while.
