Spirit is pretty worthless for a shaman of any spec. What spec are you?

When in doubt, at that level, look for Rogue leather.

They're not bad, assuming you are playing a shaman who wants intellect and spell power. As soon as you hit 58 you can do much better if you can buy Burning Crusade green items off the auction house: http://www.wowhead.com/?items&filter=minrl=58;maxrl=58;ub=7;cr=110:3;crs=1:1;crv=0:0

You might also look for the boe dungeon set 1 set pieces available between level 52 and 54: http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=187

You can probably find even bettwe at that level if you're determined but you should still be leveling quickly enough that it's probably not worth spending too much time hunting down optimal gear.
