I find whereas all other classes stack Mastery, we avoid it.
None of the classes I've even done moderate research on are "stacking mastery." Granted that's not everyone, but it's a decent number.

cats stack mastery. it's our best stat other than agility atm....after they nerf our bleed damage or w/e we'll have to see how it lies. but currently it should still be a dps gain to reforge anything into mastery, provided the piece doesnt have mastery, and reforge anything but mastery into crit/haste if the piece has mastery.

I believe that some specs favor mastery over other secondary stats. But there are a lot that don't. Fire/Arcane mages don't. Ret/Holy pallies don't. Balance/Resto druids don't. Unholy DKs don't, it's still kind of up in the air for Blood. Shadow Priests don't. And those are just the ones I know about.
It's not a great stat for a lot of people. There are plenty of specs that are reforging away from it into other stuff and I don't think anyone is gemming for straight mastery (i.e. "stacking" it).

Naw it just means that either Blizz will change the way mastery scales for boomkins OR we just chose a different trinket. *shrug*
