I think the menus are amazing, probably one of the best menu systems I've seen in a recent game.

To be honest, I liked more the menu system of oblivion, but this one isn't so bad either.

I got to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary last night and got my first set of assasinations. I have been playing all day and havnt even completed the first one. This is because I decided to run all the way there and have been stopping to do every quest and dungeon on my way.
I absolutley love this f*ck mothering game.

Been following the main quest for the most part. I "killed" a dragon while a giant just happened to be nearby. So much awesome.
how does one even have a chance against a giant?I think my problem is being melee; but I'm level 20 in epic orcish armor and I still get skyrocketed into the air.

This article
from Steam seems to agree with me about the interface.
Edit: Err, Steam linked it. It's not from them. I didn't say that well.

Maybe you need to jump away when he is about to stomp or something. But backstabbing instant kills are the best way to handle giants. <3

I guess i'll try to evade his attacks, or maybe do my BOOSH as he is attacking for a few extra hits.. and maybe spend a little more points in sneak.

that's why elder scrolls is so popular, they give you a quest, and if you go to the target on foot.......
NPC: Go to X place and do X objective, then come back here.
Player: it will be done.
(5 min later)
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"
Player: "Ohhh piece of candy"..........
(? days later)
NPC: JESUS MOTHERF*bleep*ING CHRIST WHY DID YOU TOOK SO LONG?
Player: errr....... kinda got sidetracked a little bit.

Maybe I'm used to the full final-tier Dark Brotherhood set in Oblivion but 'sneaking' doesn't seem to make me terribly sneaky. Stuff still spots me from halfway down a mountain.

Whats your sneak level? And have you spent any of the talents yet?

duh, at first they will, after you get your sneaking above 60, and you invest several perk points (Fancy name for talent points) into sneaking, they wont.
Turning into a vampire also reduces detection chance by 25%.
Edit: Also.....
Ohh my god, and the trend of this game leaving me with the jaw on the floor continues =O
I just explored my first dweemer (Read: Dwarven) ruin, and IT WAS AWESOME.
On oblivion, there were no dwarven ruins, only aleyd (Read: Elven) ones. Now that I saw the ruins of a dwarf city........ Steam-Punk in all its glory, it was like exploring Uldaman or Ulduar.
my god, just when I think the game can't get more awesome, it proves me wrong. Over and over again.
Also for the Dark Brotherhood........
man that was fast, I'm already the new Listener, even though I'm just starting the main quest
and that jester Cicero really gives me the creeps, the way he says "I must baaaathe her, ooooil her, and caaaareee for the niiiight mootheeer's corpse" is beyond disturbing. Is he really getting a boner from bathing a 3000 year old mummified female corpse?

Bloated Mans Grottos is stunning as well. I dont mean to post every time I see something awesome but this game keeps blowing my mind. And all Ive done is a tiny chunk of the main quest and everything els is exploration and side quests.
New Spriggons are awesome btw. I hate Ice Wraiths though >.<

Indeed, posting every single awesome dungeon would probably take 50 pages, and what amazes me most is that many of the best dungeons I've explored so far aren't even related to the main quest, they are RANDOM DUNGEONS with complete inconsequence to any quest whatsoever, and yet they have the same lovingly detail than those related to quests.
Blizzard should take a few lessons from Bethesda (Except for the bugs of course)
And all Ive done is a tiny chunk of the main quest and everything els is exploration and side quests.
I've only done 3 quests of the main campaign, and everything else has been exploration and Dark Brotherhood.
Gotta hand it to them, Bethesda just put a F*bleep*G COUNTRY IN A BOX. Not even Grand Theft Auto 4 (whom I considered the best wide open sandbox game thus far) comes even close to this level of perfection, atention to detail, and awesomeness.
It DOESN'T EVEN TAKE THAT MUCH HARD DRIVE. I mean its only 1.5 GB heavier than oblivion, how the hell did they managed to compress that much content in so little space? Modern Warfare 2 had a campaign of 5 hours length and weighted 11 Gb.

Does anyone else find that the mouse is clunky as hell? Particularly in the menus, the mouse sometimes simply doesn't work. Either it won't move or it won't click. I'm getting frustrated because this seems like it would be a great game if I could only
play
the damn thing.

this is a very common mistake, I had it to, here's how to fix it: Go to options, settings, gameplay, and there's this option called "360 controller" TURN IT OFF!
that blasted thing makes the game incredibly clunky to play, it responds much smoother if you disable that (its meant to be an option for when you plug a controller to your PC)
