Lol Im doin Sheogoraths quest now, I love what he says to pelagius.
"You are by far the best Septim that ever ruled. Well except for that Martin fellow... But he turned into a dargon, hardly fair. Did I ever tell you I was there for that whole afair?"
Lol I guess the Hero of Oblivion did in fact become the new Sheogorath.

dude...... you do realize that the Thalmor Dominion have their headquarters on Summerset Island, ON THE OTHER SIDE of the continent.
If Tamriel was Azeroth, Skyrim would be northrend, and summerset Island would be tanaris in terms of location.
Given that Skyrim takes place on (duh) Skyrim, then no, you do not invade the Thalmor cities, nor sack them or anything. Winning the civil war on the stormcloak's side ends the Thalmor influence on skyrim, and re-establishes the worship of talos and allows the nords to keep their culture and heritage intact, but that's about it.
Revenge on the Thalmor will come either on the form of DLCs, expansions, or a sequel.
Edit:
For further clarification
this
is tamriel, we are inside the blue circle, on skyrim, the Thalmor Dominion live on the red circle, on the other side of the world.
Edit2: For further further clarification, that map is slightly inacurate :P as it doesn't take into account the orc kingdom of Orsinium, which is located between high-rock and hammerfell.
Granted, its the smallest kingdom of the game, but every orc is worth 2 humans, or 4 elves, they are one of the most ressilient and strongest races of tamriel.

And here is a philosophical question:
What would happen if Jubilee were to use Fus-Ro-Dah in her room?
The weapons would fly back and hit her in the face.
Does anyone else have a problem with the way your character says Fus-Roh-Dah? It should be evenly spaced out, not FUS...... ROHDAH
as a matter of fact yes I do have a problem with how its spaced out, its always FUS..............ROHDAH! just sounds less epic than how its delivered on the trailer FUS-ROH-DAH.

rankoor, u seriously killed the dragon?
if you did, i feel sorry for u! the blades are cowards, and
esbern is pc bugged
I killed the dragon too. The blades are more helpful to my character. They will buy all my dragon scales and bones that I get.
Question:
Is armory helpful at all in end game?

yep, not only can you craft some seriously powerful armor and weapons (Including Daedric and Dragonbone/scale gear) you you can also enhance them with the grindstone and workbench to get well above the armor cap, and enhance your weapons to legendary status to deal pretty much 3 times more damage than they would unenhanced.
Iron Dagger in normal conditions = 6 damage.
Iron Dagger enhanced to legendary status = 30ish damage.
on my first toon, my Daedric Daggers were dealing 70 damage each (That's double the damage of a non-enhanced 2handed Ebony axe :P)

go to the basement of the temple, which will lead to the catacombs beneath Solitude.
Edit

First of all, its Paarthurnax and second of all, killing him or not has NOTHING to do with making Dragon Armor. To make dragon armor you need to max out Smithing, and also invest enough perk points on it, till you unlock the perk to forge Dragon Armor.

Wow... while fighting a Draugr in an archer duel, we managed an impossible feat. Our arrows hit each other mid-flight, and just stopped and fell to the ground. Dwarven and Ancient Nordic arrows lying right next to each other.

that's amazing, I wonder if in real life that's happened with bullets? (Unlikely, and they'd likely shatter each other beyond recognition) but it would had been awesome.

I don't know how I did it, but somehow, using only a bow (no frenzy/etc enchants), I managed to get a conjurer's frost atronach to kill a necromancer (Who happened to be on the conjurer's side). I was sniping into their room to distract them/hit them, and all of a sudden the atronach started beating on the necromancer.
