Woot woot dual daedric swords! I chugged a 40% blacksmithing potion and upgraded them to do 78 damage a piece :D. Gonna search for a blacksmithing enchant and another potion so I can stack the effects to boost them more, later on.

Oh, the many ways one can break the game.

Nope, clever use of mechanics.

Not to say it isn't clever, I just find it too easy to exploit some of those mechanics (eg. creating incredibly powerful potions/poisons, Impact, Shadow warrior, etc). But then, that has been a staple of the Elder Scrolls series, as it is with most RPGs.

That's medieval fantasy stasis, and its pretty common in works of fiction.
On the Lord of the Rings, middle-earth had the exact same level of thecnological advance back when they defeated sauron for the first time, than 3000 years later when frodo and sam were frolicking in mordor to get rid of the one ring.
Medieval fantasy doesn't last long if it isn't medieval.
Also bear in mind that yes the dweemer were very advanced, but........ do you see any dweemers around?
no, they are extinct, and this is why experiments to replicate the thecnological level of them are forbidden and frowned upon. (In fact, nobody is even sure WHY did they became extinct, some say they ascended to a higher plane of existence, others say one of their experiments blew up and destroyed them, but the fact remains that not a single dweemer corpse remains)

Or so we think.
Actually, InternetSwag; I think the answer lies very much within what you wrote yourself. They have access to magic - why would anyone need to go out of their way to construct advanced machinery when you can just snap your fingers and solve whatever issue the machine was intended for? Add to that what rankkorr said: that replicating Dwemer experiments is forbidden - considering this, I don't think it's strange at all that technology has not moved forward at all since TES I.

The feeling when you're doing the Thieves Guild final quest and a Falmer you missed earlier shoots you in the head, initiating some form of %^&*ty execute mechanic that brings your HP from about 70% to 0

The intense anger because you now have the knowledge that, in the dimension where unsaved games go to live out their meager existences, said Falmer is now teabagging your corpse?

Hey if people wants to RP as a big ass Nord with an axe more power to em, this isnt wow (thank god) where its all about numbers. Hell somtimes when Im doing the main quest and Im not on anything important or difficult, I where the iron helmet from the trailer with regular leather armor just because I wanna look like Dovahkiin. And Im playing a light armor/stealth class.

Well, there is the one from Morrowind. He's probably a corpse now that Vvardenfell has been destroyed.
Also, the Dwemer may or may not have been vanished by Azura. I for one would like to see them return in a future Elder Scrolls.

That or degenerated into a slavering mindless Corpus Walker by now.

This is exactly the feeling I have. Wtf does it matter if a different build crits 1% more of the time. Attitude like this ruins the true spirit of the game. If how you enjoy the game is 'lol'ing at people, then you need to get a life.
