My screenshots so far. Steam takes a pic every time I toggle the ENB shaders, so there's a vanilla version and ENB version for almost every screenshot.

I do, I've been replaying it now with a full dose of heavy mods on it.
Still waiting for a total conversion mode like Nhërim or OOO were for Oblivion, its gonna be AWESOME.
And THIS is why I feel PCs will always stay ahead of consoles as far as games go. If you have your 360 or PS3 version of skyrim........ well, good luck trying to still squeeze juice out of this game after you've done everything a billion times.
For PC players, we can always enhance the fun by getting free addons and mods to continue our adventures. I still remember just how many hours I managed to squeeze out of Neverwinter Nights due to the INCREDIBLE amount of user-made campaigns on websites like Neverwintervault, so after I finished neverwinter, shadows of urentide, and hordes of the underdark I still kept that game alive for another good
SEVEN YEARS
by installing user-made campaigns.
Like fan-fics, 90% of them will suck, but that sweet 10% left, is just as good as (and sometimes flat out SUPERIOR to) the main campaign. Gems such as "dusk of the samurai" "a dance with rogues" "hexa Coda" "Rose of Eternity" and "Shadowlords".
I can hardly wait for full-blown campaigns like those to arrive for skyrim. As it is Nhërim is a full conversion mod for Oblivion that is every bit as good as (in some ways EVEN BETTER THAN) the vanilla game.

I started playing not too long ago, so this is now my current game. I have some mods, but none of the quest ones. I am finding myself a little frustrated with bugs in the game that kill questlines. Like the fact that if you looted, and subsequently somehow lost one of those books the ogre in Winterhold wants, even a console command won't fix it. Or the fact that I can't cure Vilkas for some reason- maybe marrying him too soon cuts off that questline.

What type of a character do you play?

Two Daggers, Sneak and Archery. Though I'm not going to play through the Thieves guild or the Dark Brotherhood, ironically- lol.
I've been pumping a lot of points into Smithing and Enchanting, too. I just hit 100 Enchant last night, and made the most ridiculous sets of armor and weapons for my toon and her companion. Well, the most ridiculous without the +Smithing exploit.

I am rolling almost the same, except single dagger, and I let the other hand free so I can block. Blocking is surprisingly effective against... giants. Thieves guild done, doing some brotherhood now. What questlines do you want to do with your character, if not TG and DB?
I also really like the arrow fletching mod. Using daedric arrows. They are reasonably expensive and difficult/tedious to make, to be balanced, imo.
edit: Oh man I have never had 100 enchanting. Would love to get that some day.
edit2: did you use the star of azura to lvl it?

I will do every questline that is not a dirtbag questline. So far, in addition to not doing the Thieves Guild or the Dark Brotherhood, I have refused all stealing quests, and the quest to tell that guy in Riften prison where his ex is. I only took Frost because Maven told me to, and even then I managed to do it without killing a single one of her guards or robbing her house. I plan on eventually killing Grelod, but then wiping out the Dark Brotherhood (which is the alternative to the full questline, and is a quest itself). I have finished the college and the companions, am still fairly early in the main/blades questline, and am leaving the civil war until the very end (where I'll probably go Stormcloak).
I am using the arrow fletching mod too, and I have glass arrows right now. I have a mod for a reskin of the Daedric armor that is more attractive on a female model (and can be light or heavy armor) so I may eventually make that, and will save my daedric hearts accordingly.
I actually used all the cheap petty and lesser gems to level. I have a lot of money, because I break carryweight with the console commands. So I buy the empty stones all the time. I also have a separate bow with drain soul, which still one-shots things based on my sneak bonuses. I use that to fill up the gems really quickly, then used them to level enchanting. I can't imagine using Azura's star only- you'd have to make one item, then go kill something, then make an item, then go kill something, etc.- it would take forever.
The other mods I like are Oslo and Jango (too much time as a hunter in WoW), the legendary creatures mod, the mod that lets you re-melt weapons and armor, one of the nice hair packs, the one that unlocks all the face and hair colors/styles for all races, and a couple of smaller ones for textures and such.

Hey, I've seen the video of a guy speccing / gearing into unarmed, how well does that do against dragons?
The idea of using your fists to defeat a behemoth flying creature seems a bit odd, though I'm sure it would work if you stacked armor and magic resist. Khajiit can pull some impressive damage with their claws.

Youtube : Unarmed Badass Viking gameplay. He can beat the first dragon
with a few potions
, with his fists!
So I guess I'll have to try them out.
"Hey, uh, Dragon, why don't you just hold on one second while I guzzle some potions? Don't worry, I'll kill you after."
(I like my realism :P)

I think you should go into every battle drunk on this character.

Well, to be fair, the dark brotherhood, quests this time aren't so "evil".
In fact, unlike oblivion (where u get to dispatch A LOT of innocents) this time, most of the people you kill had it coming to them. Including offing a dictator and a tyrant at the very end of it.
I have finished the college and the companions, am still fairly early in the main/blades questline, and am leaving the civil war until the very end
Wise decision, if you leave the civil war for the very VERY end, you get to broker a temporal truce between the 2 factions in the civil war, and its one of the most interesting quests in the whole game. So finish the main campaign first and then finish the civil war.
I'll probably go Stormcloak
/tears
Atta'girl =D
STICK IT UP TO THE MAN! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
/fist-up
I plan on eventually killing Grelod, but then wiping out the Dark Brotherhood (which is the alternative to the full questline, and is a quest itself)
that would be a shame. I'm telling you, the dark brotherhood isn't so bad.......... (ok they're a bunch of crazy death cultists can't deny that, but this time, all their victims are real D-bags who had it coming. Like that wife cheating on his fiancee, and planing to kill him after their wedding, or the serial rapist, the pirate queen, ect ect)

Are you 100% sure that ALL of the people they kill are dirtbags?
Also, I have to say that I'm disappointed in the Thieves Guild quests- the first one is to put a guy in jail who is seemingly a nice guy, so I can't make myself start that one.

the thieves guild and dark brotherhood kinda reversed their roles between oblivion and skyrim.
On Oblivion, the thieves guild was a robin-hood-esque organization that stole from the rich to give to the poor, and used beggars as spies in their network of information. One of the cardinal rules of the guild was to never steal from the poor, or harm the beggars and/or people living in the slums of the imperial city.
On Oblivion, the Dark Brotherhood was a religious cult that worshiped the aspect of death (no, not deathwing xD) and performed ritualistic murders for profit, and also sh1t and giggles.
Cue skyrim and now:
On Skyrim, the thieves guild is more of a mafia organization. They intend to turn crime into organized crime, they go for smuggling, and........ well........ stealing (hence the "thieves" on their name). This time they don't steal from the rich to give to the poor, they just steal, and that's about it. (not to mention that this time they serve Daedric Lord Nocturnal)
On Skyrim, the dark brotherhood is no longer a quasi-religious organization, pretty much all the worshiping to the night-mother and Sithis (Aspect of Death) have ceased altogether, and they are simply hitmen, who kill people for profit, just business. Thing is, their clientèle has changed too since they now order hits mostly against Dirtbags who've wrong them in the past.
here's a short spoiler-free list of the people you kill during their quest:
A cruel woman running an orphanage, who physically and psychologically abuses all the children in her care, and actually prevents them from getting adopted. (Kill her, and all the children will gather around her corpse and....... START CHEERING for you)
Then you get to choose to kill one of 3 victims: A mercenary who was hired to do a job, and maybe killed someone who's relative now wants vengeance. A wife that is a complete b1tch, and a Serial Rapist. You only need to kill 1, or all 3 if you want, but just 1 suffices, and you can settle for the rapist and call it a day (hell he doesn't even bothers to deny it, in fact he boasts on how many women he's raped)
Third contract is for a woman who wants revenge: She was adopted by a family, she eventually meets a charming fellow, who asks her hand in marriage, only to use her to steal a precious heirloom from her adoptive family. The adoptive family blames her for the deed, and thus disown her, trow her to the streets, and force her out of the city. Her quest consists on killing the scumbag who lied and married to her just to steal from her family. There's an optional objective to kill her step-sister too (Since she's the one who basically convinced her adoptive family that SHE was the one responsible for everything) but you can choose to ignore this objective if you want. Only the dirtbag liar is the mandatory target.
Next target is a bride, and on her wedding day to boot =/ Now Vittoria Vici is not just quite a b1tch herself, but even before marriage, you can see she has been sleeping with someone else. And she's only getting married for a rather dark reason, I'd tell you but that would be spoilers, suffice to say its due to politics (she's the cousin of the emperor, her fiancee is a noble of the stormcloaks, tie the threads)
And finally, A dictator, and a Tyrant, who was a vicious Warlord before he took the throne by force, and self-proclaimed himself emperor.
The only victims that you never get any info on , are the optional victims of nazir's contracts.
He sends you off on smaller hits, against smaller fishes, and you don't really get much info on them, so they could be rotten, or they could be innocent. However, those are optional and you don't have to do them if you dont' want to. However several of these hits ARE against rotten people, Such as the pirate queen, the jerkass orc bard, and a pair of vampire serial killers.

Why is she marrying him, if you don't mind? I don't mind spoilers myself- feel free to use the box. If she's getting married to forge an alliance, I wouldn't think that was too bad a thing.
I guess I might be able to do the assassin one, then. If they're all scumbags- that's kind of what I do anyway, is kill scumbags.

Well........ I don't think a spoiler box is REALLY needed since this is a 6 months old game but what the hell, I'll use one anyways.
She's the cousin of the Emperor, and as such, a staunch supporter of the Imperials, her fiancée is a Stormcloak noble, but as other members of the family can tell you, he's.......... well, weak. That is to say, he's easy to manipulate and control and almost always does what he's told.
What do you get when you mix a submissive malleable man with a dominating, bossy woman? /whipsound.
The idea is that by marrying him, the empire can force the stormcloak noble to make consessions to the empire, regarding his region, basically turning it to the empire's favor. Considering what a bunch of jerks the imperials have become, that's not good. Of course, both her infidelity, and her real reason for getting hitched, aren't easy to discover, this game has TONS of readable documents, and books and one of them details her real plans for her
puppet
future husband.
When you off her, the Emperor himself is forced to go to skyrim in order to finish securing the "alliance" with the noble's family, and that's when you off him too.
Trust me, the empire really was a shiny force of good in all the previous elder scroll games, but at the end of oblivion, the last member of the emperor's family dies, and as such the empire is leaderless. A new WARLORD took over by force, and since then, everything has gone downhill. From selling out their provinces, to banning religion, they've sink more and more over the years. Completing the Dark Brotherhood quest-line is as Anti-Imperial as you can get asides from siding with the stormcloaks and completing the civil war on their favor. In fact, I'd dare say, destroying the brotherhood would be doing the imperials a favor =/
They (the brotherhood) are still hitmen who kill people for money, but in this particular game, pretty much 90% of your victims had it coming to them anyways. The only possible exceptions are the victims of Nazir's Contracts, since we don't really get any info at all on them whatsoever, just their location, and their name so you can kill them, so maybe they're rotten, or maybe they're not. But Nazir's contracts are optional, and some of his victims ARE rotten, like the vampire serial killers, and the pirate queen.

nope. They are offered in batches, first 3, u kill those, then get another 3, then another 3 and so on.
Though they are optional, you don't really have to complete them, all u get by doing them is money and an achievement (Plus some enchanted items for completing the last mark)
Edit: Small correction,They are not ENTIRELY optional.
Before getting offered the quest "Mourning Never Comes" you must do at least 1 of nazir's first batch of quests. The marks are a beggar, a paranoiac schizophrenic, and an ex-wife, since she and her ex-husband both run a mining company, and they are now feuding.
There is another Nazir contract that is mandatorial before progressing through the dark brotherhoond campaign, and is presicely the vampire serial killer (The contract is called "Kill Hern")
Those are the only times you are forced to do his contracts. The rest of the batches are entirely optional.
The Pirate queen is the very last contract he gives you though, so to kill her, you must kill every single other mark offered by nazir.
So, out of nazir's quests, just kill the schizo and the vamp and you're set.
