Thought it wasn't a problem to post it since its a very low-res screenshot so its not like you can see any details.

Yeah- there are a lot of really bad mods out there.
@Rank - Speaking of New Vegas, I think that's the name of the mod you're looking for, actually- something or other New Vegas Male. But I won't swear by it. BTW- any googling of these mods will result in NSFW pictures, people.
Just tried to google that with safety turned completely off... it took like three full turns of the scroll wheel until I bumped into the first case of... indecency. Otherwise it was all actual New Vegas screenshots with clothes on. :o Clearly you have dirtier Google than I.

You should totally try New Vegas (if you haven't done so already) as well as Fallout 3, they're more or less Skyrim. Except in the future rather than medieval fantasy.
There's no dragons (sadly) but hey, THERE'S LAZERS. AND GATLING LAZERS. And a Nuke launcher but who cares about that one? (you can only fire it like 20 times in the whole game)

Dude I bought New Vegas on launch.

I was talking to Elhonna :P she's the one who hasn't played either Fallout game.

Ok some extra musings on Dawnguard.
Seriously, that bow makes every single other weapon in the game feel redundant. Its ridiculously OP. Auriel's Bow+Sunblessed arrows+Daytime = Nuclear explosion that doesn't hit friendlies, but obliterates enemies and deals quadruple damage against undead.
As for the follower it adds:
Serena is pretty awesome. First off she's pretty strong, she has some nice spells in her hands, is fairly smart (when possible she will target enemies far from you and leaving the closer ones for you to dispatch). Outside of combat, she is the single one follower who is not 100% a flat character. She actually has a personality, and character development, and plenty of dialog. She even offers her own unique insight on every area of Skyrim, including cities and dungeons. She's portrayed a bit more realistic than other vampires, since if she's out during daytime, she wears a hood, and will comment often on how she needs to get to a shade.
On the flip-side............
Given the tremendous chemistry between her and the protagonist, its very unfair that she's not a marriageable option U_U you can propose to her, but she will politely turn you down. Really unfair given the tremendous amount of "Ship Tease" between you and her (and this happens regardless of gender.............. then again she IS a vampire, and potentially, so are you)
But the one thing I hate about her is how she will not SHUT UP!
Its at the same time her best part, and her worst. On the one hand she actually has lots of dialog unlike the other followers, but when you engage an enemy in combat she will say "Where did you come from?" ALL THE GOD-DAMNED TIME! it gets annoying real fast, she has a total of 5 phrases that she will repeat in combat, and she will use them over and over and over and over until your ears bleed.
I need to find a mod that removes her comments during combat, as they are as useless as they are annoying. Otherwise, she's the best follower the game has.
Mounted Combat is a nice addition, it makes traveling a lot less of a chore. Too bad you can't use spells while on horseback though, only melee or bow&arrow. And of course Arvak, the undead horse, makes every other horse in the game (Including the BADASS shadowmere from the dark brotherhood) entirely redundant as well, since Arvak is 100% truly immortal (he can die but you can just summon him again, his spell is cheap on the magicka and has no cooldown) and can be summoned at will any time and anywhere.
Lastly:
The shout to summon Durnehviir the undead dragon, makes Odavhiing also pretty useless, since Durnehviir can be summoned anywhere, and doesn't have all the limitations that Odavhiing has.
Even before getting Auriel's Bow, bows in general are made redundant by the addition of the Crossbow, which not only has a base damage higher than all the other bows in the game, in their upgraded form, they can ignore 50% of the armor of an enemy (they're still made useless by Auriel's bow anyways)
All in all, Dawnguard is a pretty awesome mod, but it takes a lot of the vanilla elements and makes them entirely redundant and/or useless. Such as mounts, bows, a certain dragon shout, most followers (Despite her incessant rambling on combat, I'd rather have Serena with me than any other follower). It even adds extra "execution animations" for when you fight, for example, when dualwielding axes, sometimes you get an execution animation where you put the axe behind someone's head to lock it in place, and HEADBUTT THEM TO DEATH.
There is also a pretty severe downside of installing dawnguard. At random you will be attacked by members opposite to the faction you choose to join. As it is, the random dragon attacks (Who can kill ANYONE without any warning, including possible quest-givers) were bad enough, but now you have to contend with Vampires or Dawnguard hunters ambushing you either in the wilds, or worse, in the cities.
At least the Dawnguard will focus only on you, but if a vampire attacks, they will hit anyone including civilians or guards =S
I though "hey, if I join the vampires, then only dawnguards will attack me, and the vampire attacks will cease" right? WRONG, even after joining the vampires and finishing the quest, there are still some rogue vampires out there who will stage surprise attacks on any city if you are nearby. Great, so now I gotta be on the lookout for dragons AND vampires.
=(

They actually added a mounted combat, and all of the new execution animations on the Xbox 360 a long time ago, we didn't even need Dawnguard for them. ...I guess that's not entirely relevant...
Also, I found Mjoll the Lioness to actually have a personality but she has the opposite problem that Serena does: she talks to the point that she's obnoxious /out/ of combat.

True enough, if I'm not mistaken, those were added in patch 1.5
However, since my copy of skyrim is a little......... ejem, illegitimate, I didn't had those. Only by installing dawnguard was my game boosted to 1.7 automatically, and thus all the perks of the 7 patches I've missed were added at the same time.
Also, I found Mjoll the Lioness to actually have a personality but she has the opposite problem that Serena does: she talks to the point that she's obnoxious /out/ of combat.
Well, "some" followers do have a personality (for example, the 3 ones from the Companions) but its fairly limited, and their character development is minimal.

I love Skyrim, but I have major problems with how the characters treat you if you're not a nord; specifically in the fact they treat you not that different. I started a dark elf character to play through JUST to see what it would be like, but I've barely seen any differences. It also slightly urks me how all the characters animate exactly the same; wouldn't it have been cooler if dark elves had different attack animations than nords? Elves having more of a flair to their attacks and Nord's noticably putting more power behind their swings? Obviously there would be no difference between the two gameplay-wise besides the appearence, but it would be neat. Same applies to voice; to me they sound all the same ('cause I think they are).
The general lack of a solid assassination mechanic also bugs me, I try to play my dark elf as an assassin, but I've very rarely been able to get the assassination "Kill-cam" I'm looking for.
Also another little thing bugging me; you know how you can find the Thalmor wandering around with a prisoner sometimes and can talk to them about Talos to the point where they question you about worshiping Talos? WHY THE HELL CAN"T YOU SAY "No, I don't worship Talos" AND AVOID THE FIGHT!
Similarly, I wish there was more of an ability to just kill people and alter the game. How hard would it have been to put in something where you can kill Mavn Blackbiar and dismantle the Theive Guild's hold ovr Riften? Or what about joining more obscure factions? I helped the Forsworn leader escape from the Silverblood mines, but they still attack me, when when I'm wearing the armor he gave me?
Lastly, and this is a general question; does anyone else here try to play by a strict character class? I have one character I just go all-out with (though I favor conjuration with him), a nord I play as a death knight (necromantic conjuration, heavy armor, two-or-one handed swords, and frost magic (with the exception of other rune traps) and my dark elf assassin-theif (daggers, arrows, light armor and possibly illusion magic later on). Or does most everyone just get the strongest stuff in game and play that way?
But I still love the game.

I tend to use dual wielding and archery, with a little conjuration and alteration- mostly passive type magics- and then pump points into enchanting and smithing so I can make the best gear.

There are differences, just not that big.
If you are a Nord, you obviously get treated a lot better than all the other races. If you are any other human race (Imperial, redguard, and breton) you get treated on an average scale.
Regarding elves, if you are a dark elf or wood elf, there isn't any difference from humans, but if you are a high elf, some people will treat you with mistrust and during the quest where you infiltrate the thalmor embassy, if you are a high elf, and steal a guard uniform, you can pass 100% as a thalmor and even bark orders to them.
If you are an orc, you don't have to prove yourself to be allowed to enter the Orc Strongholds, you are welcomed from the start.
but the biggest difference is if you play a kajhit. I'm sure you've noticed how Kajhit are not welcomed in any city, they're forced to remain outside, if you are a kajhit, all the guards will treat you like crap (even if you are dragonborn and killed alduin and all that crap)
not sure what differences (if any) there are if you play an argonian.
I agree, different animations for each race would had been great. Then again, that's what mods are for, I'll be looking for those on the nexus :P
Same applies to voice; to me they sound all the same ('cause I think they are).
Aye, on Oblivion, a lot of races had a different voice (Nords and Orcs shared the same voice though, as did High Wood and Dark elves as did Kajhit and Argonians )
Here there is less variety, at least for players. For the players, all humans and elves share the same voice. Only the "beast races" (Which IMO should be called "best races") have unique voices each.
Orcs, Argonians, and Kajhits have unique voices each.
The general lack of a solid assassination mechanic also bugs me, I try to play my dark elf as an assassin, but I've very rarely been able to get the assassination "Kill-cam" I'm looking for.
Wha' cha' talkin' 'bout willis? There's A LOT of assassination mechanics on the sneak talent tree. Including how daggers deal 15x more damage if you are sneaking, how you can vanish from sight even in combat, for a split second if you go into sneak mode (meaning you can do a stealth blow even if you are discovered) and then there's the perks to do the silent roll, avoid all the pressure plates and traps, ect.
The one thing that doesn't always happens is the "execution animations" and the reason those don't have a 100% guaranteed ratio is intentional. The devs felt it would interrupt the flow of the game if for every.single.enemy.killed you would have to wait 4 seconds till the animation was done (as is the case for Deus Ex Human Revolution). This is why those executions are random. If you want them, there is a mod for that, though to be honest, I installed that mod, and the first 4 hours were pure glory, after 4 hours, I uninstalled it. I think the devs made the right call by making executions random.
Maybe you are playing an older version of the game? when I encounter a Thalmor patrol, I get the option to tell them I can worship whoever the hell I want, or say I don't worship talos.
Of course, I've NEVER used that option, ever. I got a "Kill on Sight" policy regarding the Thalmor. If any crosses my path, they die. Simple as that. "Thou shall not suffer the wicked to live"
I've killed so many thalmor they've also placed a "Kill on sight" policy for me, and have even hired thugs to off me.
Similarly, I wish there was more of an ability to just kill people and alter the game. How hard would it have been to put in something where you can kill Mavn Blackbiar and dismantle the Theive Guild's hold ovr Riften? Or what about joining more obscure factions? I helped the Forsworn leader escape from the Silverblood mines, but they still attack me, when when I'm wearing the armor he gave me?
ohhh HEEEEEELLLLL NAAWWWW!
As it is, its chaotic enough that my game can be altered to the point I MISS CONTENT due to the random Dragon Attacks or Vampire attacks. A lot of quest-givers, or quest-related NPCs can die at any time, and they don't respawn, or revive. When I installed the Dawnguard DLC, a bunch of vampires attacked Whiterun, and killed the blacksmith out there, great, now she's gone for good, and there's nothing I can do to fix that.
I would had liked that part of joining the more obscure factions though. But maaaaybe not the Forsworn. I dunno but something about them rubs me off the wrong way. Could be all the raiding, genocide, and implicit rape, cannibalism, and inbreeding. I dunno.
Not me. I'm always feeling restricted by the class system on other games. In MMOs they're a necessary evil due to "balance" (and this is the reason I don't believe an online elder scroll game can work without significantly altering the formula and taking away what makes this franchise awesome). But in single-player I like that I'm not restricted by any given choice made at the start of the game, but rather I can choose how to fight any time.
Me, I'm perfectly happy with being a female orc/vampire/necromancer/warlock/assassin/warrior/dragontamer (try to fit that in a business card)
But I still love the game.
Don't we all? I honestly think bethesda made one for the history books with this one. I liked oblivion, and morrowind, and fallout 3 and New Vegas, but Skyrim is on a whole different level of awesome.

So aparently at the end of Oblivion if you talk to a homeless dude in Bruma while wearing the Imperial Dragon Armor then he tells you about a rumor of dragons waking up in Skyrim. Several people will also tell you, after you finish the main quest, about an uprising in the Summerset Isles.
There is also a quest in Bloodmoon where you will have your future told. If you have completed Bloodmoon, Tribunal, and the Morrowind main quest, then the fortuneteller says "When the dragon dies, the Empire dies..." And then goes on to tell about lost kin and blood ties.
There was also somebody you can talk to in Tribunal that talks about the end of the world, releasing Daedra in Tamriel and Mehrunes Dagon.
So they forshadowed both Skyrim and Oblivion in previous games. We should all keep an eye out now (and in future DLC) to see if theres any forshadowing about Elder Scrolls VI

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I just love it all so much. Plus it's easier to kill people that would otherwise be walking away from you with it.

I get the "I can worship whoever hte hell I want" but I don't recall ever having seen a "I don't worship Talos."
Here are the options I can remember:
You got me; I worship Talos.
I can worship whoever the hell I want.
*remain silent*
All three get me attacked.
And it's funny; I have a "Kill on Sight" policy for most Nords (on my Main, anyway). Racist bastards... The thalmor piss me off just as much, but since they're not human I don't tend to mind as much. Plus they work with the empire at least to a slight degree, so I can't very well up and kill them off without hurting my side (at least, not in my mind I can't).
Similarly, I wish there was more of an ability to just kill people and alter the game. How hard would it have been to put in something where you can kill Mavn Blackbiar and dismantle the Theive Guild's hold ovr Riften? Or what about joining more obscure factions? Ehhhh, I guess... Would force some replay value, though...
As for the Forsworn: they worship Daedra; DAEDRA! The Daedra are awesome!
Plus I would love the idea of being able to help them take over Markoth, even at the loss of whatever quests are there. Just imagine the city controlled by the Forsworn; isn't that a cool image!
But is there anyway to dismantle the Thieves Guild? The Lioness character's pressence makes me think so, but I can't figure out where to start.
Lastly, and this is a general question; does anyone else here try to play by a strict character class? Hmmm, I suppose it's a different mentality. While I love the overpoweredness you can get with the characters (dual-summoning daedra lords is pure win on my main) and I'm looking forward to getting daedric armor (except to replace my dragon mask, I like how it looks) I find that I've been having a lot more fun when I force myself to play by a certain set of rules. Might be a kind of imersion thing.
Speaking of not chaning armor; does anyone else take a liking to certain armor sets or combinations of armor peices to the point you don't change them out for anything, even if it's stronger?
But I still love the game.
Don't we all? I honestly think bethesda made one for the history books with this one. I liked oblivion, and morrowind, and fallout 3 and New Vegas, but Skyrim is on a whole different level of awesome.
I played Fallout three a bit before I got Skyrim (little bro had borrowed it from a friend) but after Skyrim... I just couldn't go back to it. Maybe it was the faster paced combat system or the general awesomeness of the fantasy setting, but I just didn't like Fallout that much...
Of course, if there was a co-op it would be better...
Something else I just thought of; wouldn't it be cool if, after becoming archmage, you could moderate how the college opperates or bring new people into it? For example; you could fire the rest of the teachers or demand they begin teaching only conjuration to new prospects you find and convince to travel to the College while you wander Skyrim.
Or maybe even get Winterhold to stop being pissed off at the College!
Seriously, every time I hear the sentence "damn mages, winterhold will never be the same" or any variation thereof; I WANT TO CHOKE A B*TCH!

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I just love it all so much.
As did I, that's why I installed that mod that made every kill a cinematic execution, but it gets old after a while. Exactly like on Deus Ex Human Revolution, where you need to wait multiple seconds if you melee kill anyone.
Plus it's easier to kill people that would otherwise be walking away from you with it.
ahh but a true assassin doesn't just uses daggers, a true assassin would keep a bow or crossbow in hand in case the target manages to flee. I wish we had throwable knives, but ohh well, gotta work with what we got.
I get the "I can worship whoever hte hell I want" but I don't recall ever having seen a "I don't worship Talos."
Must be a bug, cuz I can lie about not worshiping talos. I never use that option, but i have it.
Of course, there is a solution, when they ask you that question, you can remain silent a third way: By exiting the conversation. It counts as "remain silent" and doesn't make them hostile.
And it's funny; I have a "Kill on Sight" policy for most Nords (on my Main, anyway)
o_O you outta kill 90% of the NPCs then. Which is impossible seeing as all the jarls, all the children, and PLENTY of the NPCs are unkillable.
Racist bastards... The thalmor piss me off just as much, but since they're not human I don't tend to mind as much.
O_O dude, the Thalmor are 1000 times worst than the nords. Sure the nords act like jerks towards "some" non-nords (they don't really treat you like crap if you are a human, or even an orc) but the Thalmor KILL any non-thalmor, even other high-elves that are not thalmor.
The aldimeri dominion is a supremacist organization that actively seeks to PURGE every non-elf race from the world, (every single last one) and assimilate all the elven races under their rule.
Everyone on the elder scrolls (even daedra worshipers, dark brotherhood, or the more racists nords) are as saints as jesus when compared to the PURE BLACK EVIL of the Thalmor.
Plus they work with the empire at least to a slight degree, so I can't very well up and kill them off without hurting my side (at least, not in my mind I can't).
They "
work
" with the empire? bro', to put it on the most simplistic terms: The Empire is nothing more than the Dominion's little b1tch.
If the dominion says "jump" they do so, if they say "bend over and apply this lube" they do so.
Even their own god-damned general agrees with that. Yet they still bend their knees to suck the dominion's %^&* every single time. Instead of having the cojones to tell those elves where they can stick their little purge.
Everything else the empire does, everything else they represent, is automatically wrong by having them support a genocidal race of maniacs that actively seeks to bring about the end of the world by sacrificing every single race on the planet.
At the same time, anyone who opposes the thalmor (And their proxy, the empire) is automatically on a higher moral ground, no matter their flaws. Which is why I'm with the stormcloaks all the way (though I wish I had the option to just backstab ulfric and either lead myself, or appoint someone else as new high king)
As for the Forsworn: they worship Daedra; DAEDRA! The Daedra are awesome!
/scratching chin.......... they are, but some of the daedra princes are pretty disturbing. I mean, I have no problem with Azura, Meridia, Malacath, Nocturnal, or Shaegorath. But some of the others........ specially molag bal (prince of rape) and Mehrunes Dagon (lord of destruction) kinda rub me off in the wrong way.
But is there anyway to dismantle the Thieves Guild? The Lioness character's pressence makes me think so, but I can't figure out where to start.
No there is not, which is strange because for those inclined to do so, you can destroy the dark brotherhood (though why anyone in their right mind would wanna do such a thing is beyond me). Besides (slight spoiler alert) before you start, the thieves guild is almost dead anyways, its your job to rebuild it, and turn it to its former glory. if its almost dead before you begin (just like the brotherhood) there should be an option to finish them off.
Paradoxically, the brotherhood is in the exact polar opposite than the guild.
See, the guild is almost dead, and then you rebuild it to its former glory, but you can't finish them off, so if you don't like them, your only option is to avoid them.
The Dark Brotherhood is almost dead, (the rest of this paragraph is a HUGE spoiler) and at the end of their quest, no matter how hard you try, they are almost destroyed for good. The only members at the end are you, nazir, and babette, plus 2 nameless recruits.
You CAN finish them off, but you can't rebuild them to their former glory. I wish the "finish them" option was available to the thieves, and the "rebuild to glory" was available to the brotherhood.
=/
Hmmm, I suppose it's a different mentality. While I love the overpoweredness you can get with the characters (dual-summoning daedra lords is pure win on my main) and I'm looking forward to getting daedric armor (except to replace my dragon mask, I like how it looks) I find that I've been having a lot more fun when I force myself to play by a certain set of rules. Might be a kind of imersion thing.
That's why Mileages May Vary on this sort of thing. To me, the class system breaks the immersion. Look at it from this point of view: "Ohh I'm a mage, and yet there's this sword my father gave me, I can't put it to use at all because I can't equip swords, and even if I swing it, I can't hit anything at all, and while I can master the arts of the arcane, I'll never get the grasp on the simplest act of swinging a sword because my class isn't made for that"
it breaks the immersion that an invisible force prevents you from doing what you want. In the elder scrolls, if you like magic, you can practice it till you dominate it, if you like daggers you can use them till you are deadly with them, you like necromancy? go for it. Just as how in real life nothing prevents me from having a law's degree, and a degree in economics, and another one in medicine if I wanted to (and had all the time in the world)
Nothing in real life prevents me from learning how to box, and then learn karate, and then learn fencing. If I want to learn all 3, I can do it. There is no "class system" telling me that I gotta be one or the other.
Speaking of not chaning armor; does anyone else take a liking to certain armor sets or combinations of armor peices to the point you don't change them out for anything, even if it's stronger?
Guilty as charged :P once I get the dark brotherhood armor, I rarely use anything else. It does raises a few questions as to how nobody makes a comment on an orc ninja vampire strolling on whiterun in broad daylight, but I guess we gotta use our own suspension of disbelief when playing games.
Seriously, every time I hear the sentence "damn mages, winterhold will never be the same" or any variation thereof; I WANT TO CHOKE A B*TCH!
it would be nice if you could do that to every faction you join.
You end up leading every single faction you can join (except the dawnguard) and yet you can't give any orders at all.
It would be nice that for example, after being the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, you get to instate policies on who we can and can't kill (such as becoming a vigilante organization, dealing justice to the wicked, but sparing the innocent) being the leader of the thieves guild establish a norm of who we can rob (such as its ok to rob the rich but leave the poor alone) being the leader of the companions would allow you to........ I dunno, I have no idea what they're supposed to be.
But you get the gist. MOVE the organization in any direction you see fit. That would had been awesome.
As well as bolstering the ranks of said organization.
I liked A LOT how when you help rebuild The Blades, you can bring in your followers, and add them as new members. It would had been nice to do that to other factions. Such as bring members to the companions/college/dark brotherhood/thieves guild/Volkhar vampires/Dawnguard, and officially induct them into the order.

Yes, but when you're murdering people in a town that's not always a viable option. I was able to cut someone down in the middle of the street because of the execution move and get away with it 100%
Imagine if I hadn't 1-shotted her and she had started to run? I'd have to chase, and I'd meet guards, yadda yadda lots of people to kill in Windhelm.
And I never played Deus Ex, so I wouldn't know.
I tried that too, they still attacked me! Frakin' elves....
Well.... at least the dominion isn't half-assed about it their evil.
brb, rolling high elf.
Pince of Rape? Huh, that's the first I've heard of him. Again; at least they're forthcoming about their evil. I respect that in unstopable, godly villains. All hail the Daedra!
I'm a very demented individual. At least when it comes to video game morality; when kill or torture options come up, I create a save file so I can go back and do both.
=/
Wow... Bethesda kinda dropped the ball on that one then didn't they?
Hmmm, I suppose it's a different mentality. While I love the overpoweredness you can get with the characters (dual-summoning daedra lords is pure win on my main) and I'm looking forward to getting daedric armor (except to replace my dragon mask, I like how it looks) I find that I've been having a lot more fun when I force myself to play by a certain set of rules. Might be a kind of imersion thing.
That's why Mileages May Vary on this sort of thing. To me, the class system breaks the immersion. I agree with you 100% there. Fully customizable RPGs really have the market cornered on epic character possibilities. Perhaps you misinterpreted what I said: I wasn't complaining about the ability to do anything in Elder Scrolls and praising the "you're this class, you can do this and only this" system of traditional RPG's, I was commending the fact that you could take either route with Skyrim.
Speaking of not chaning armor; does anyone else take a liking to certain armor sets or combinations of armor peices to the point you don't change them out for anything, even if it's stronger?

That's another thing; if the Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guild has uniform armor, why the hell don't people see you wearing it and cut you down for assosciation with those groups?

I think the Companions are Team Jacob fans gone too far. So I guess if you lead them you could turn sparkley vampires in effigy? Dunno.
And damn... I'm not a fan of the Thieves Guild (though I don't hate them) and I absolutely love the Dark Brotherhood, to learn all that really breaks my heart.
And I could understand how moving the Stormcloaks or the Imperial Army would have been a little difficult to program, but a college, a small group of Thieves, a Brotherhood that was on it's last legs and dying without it's traditions, would that really have been so hard to add in?
I dunno, but it kinda makes you wonder what kind of thought developers give these games. And I'm not saying they don't give it thought, just wondering why they decide to do certain things over others.

Whatever- I'm totally on team Vilkas, so :P
I find the representation of werewolves to be a lot less sparkly in Skyrim than you appear to. They're cursed by a Daedra, condemned for all eternity unless they break the curse, and the resolution of the main storyline, and 2 of the 3 radiant quest chains, is about curing them. You run into feral ones all the time that try to rip your throat out, and you do a quest where you run into one who lost control a murdered a little girl. Where do you find Twilight in any of that?

It was a joke. Jeez.
And again; Daedra = Awesome. A little Rapey, maybe, on occasion, but still awesome.

or, alternatively, whip out the crossbow, and finish her off? if you kill any witness to your crime, any bounty you gain is removed.
I saw these 3 legion soldiers dragging a farmer to his execution, I killed the first legionoaire, and gained a bounty, but when I killed the other 2, the bounty dissapeared.
Besides, if you invest enough points on enchanting and smithing, you can upgrade your weapons to the point they can oneshot almost anyone.
Case in point: My Auriel's bow has a base damage of 300 (plus another 30 sun damage from the enchantment, plus another 40 sun damage from the sunblessed arrows xD)
Well.... at least the dominion isn't half-assed about it their evil.
No they are not. At the risk of invoking godwin's law, the Aldimeri Dominion is the closest thing we have to Nazi Elves on the elder scrolls (and yes, it does count, the similarities are far too many)
and BTW rolling a high elf doesn't make you a Thalmor, in fact the Thalmor hate high-elves who don't side with them EVEN MORE than they do for the non-elven races.
Pince of Rape? Huh, that's the first I've heard of him.
heh, the following segment is a spoiler so I'll put it on a box.
You learn in Dawnguard that the original race of vampires was created when Molag Bal raped a bunch of women. He loves to defile, corrupt, and otherwise taint everything, and raping has a way of doing that.
Wow... Bethesda kinda dropped the ball on that one then didn't they?
Yep they did, big time. I don't get why the thieves get preferential treatment on that scale. By far and wide their quest is the largest one out of all the joinable factions (except Dawnguard and Volhikar Vampires) and the most developed one. I wish that sort of love was given to the dark brotherhood. And by proxy the other factions. Seriously the companion's story is REALLY boring, and bland, and ultra short, it can be completed in 3 hours.
I agree with you 100% there. Fully customizable RPGs really have the market cornered on epic character possibilities. ahhh 'k
That's another thing; if the Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guild has uniform armor, why the hell don't people see you wearing it and cut you down for assosciation with those groups?
I have no idea, for that matter, you can wear Vampire Royal armor, and nobody will even suspect you are a vampire.
Again, this is baffling because they DID allowed it for the stormcloaks and the imperials. Wander into a stormcloak camp dressed as an imperial and even if you are on their side, they will attack you. Viceversa works as well for the other side.
If that's the case, I don't get why the Shrouded Armor of the brotherhood doesn't inspires the fear it should on the populace.
I think the Companions are Team Jacob fans gone too far. So I guess if you lead them you could turn sparkley vampires in effigy? Dunno.
yeah they are. LAME! compare their campaign to the one of the Volhikar Vampires, and the vamps are 1000% more epic.
And damn... I'm not a fan of the Thieves Guild (though I don't hate them) and I absolutely love the Dark Brotherhood, to learn all that really breaks my heart.
Same here dude, same here. The dark brotherhood (Specially on oblivion) were a bunch of crazy bastards, who worshiped the very essence of death, but I had a soft spot for them (Its all Lucien's fault I tell ya). On Skyrim they're even more awesome given that:
Their campaign consists of KILLING THE GOD-DAMNED EMPEROR! HELL YES! A CAMPAIGN FINALE HAS NEVER FELT THAT GOOD
But their eventual fate is a real shame, They could had programmed to them the same thing they did for the thieves guild. Send your apprentices on hits, perform hits for the night mother, adquire money, and use it to improve the sanctuary, rebuild the brotherhood, recruit new members, DO SOMETHING.
You can do it post-campaign for the thieves, why not for the brotherhood? I'm hoping in my heart that they're gonna come through with a DLC for that, but the chances of that are kinda slim.

One final thing on the self-induced character classes; forcing yourself to kill a dragon without a bow and arrow (for my "death knight" character it's ice magic, twohanded or one-onehanded sword, and whatever undead I can get) is epicly challenging. So challenging, in fact, I have yet to do it on my own.

not quite. See, whatever else you may be roleplaying (Death Knight, Barbarian, Rogue), you are above all else, a Dragonborn, and therefore you are half-dragon and can use the powers dragons can.
By getting the
Dragonrend
shout, fighting dragons is pretty trivial. Just hit them with the shout, and once they're forced to land, you can keep them grounded forever.
Slow-time is another dragon shout that is tremendously useful in getting rid of the damned buggers.
