Barely been able to play cause of finals, but I'll give a few spoiler free impressions of the expansion so far.
The moment I landed on Solstheium and some Dark Elf walked up and called me "Outlander" I let out just about the biggest nerd squeal ever. Ton of throwbacks to Morrowind, even used some of the old soundtrack. Loved seeing the Redoran guards, and there were some Neravarine references. Seeing all the dragon skeletons littering the ground on the way up to Miraaks temple is fairly foreboding as well. Love that the Skaal are back, have yet to go see of Thirsk is still standing, but I'm hoping so.
Also in an interesting lore note, the Argonian invasion has apparently been over for some time now, and most of them have left Morrowind. I was, up until now, under the impression that Morrowind was no longer it's own nation, that it was owned by Black Marsh. I kind of wonder where the Dunmer land on the Empire vs Thalmor issue. On the one hand they are elves, and some of the most assholish elves in the series. Although on the other hand they seem to be in dept to Skyrim and closely related to them as well, having taken up residence on Solstheium. I wonder, are they still part of the Empire?

Is Elder Scrolls 6 out yet? @#$ the post Skyrim world. Going back through this thread reminded me how awesome it was. I'm gonna go replay Morrowind...

It's a mod that got some press a while back for being one of the largest and most ambitious mods released to date. It's fully voiced, has its own soundtrack, has about 25 hours of content, and was built and organized by a 19 year old.
