Soft capped ArP kitteh has problem
Return to board index
Im starting to go beyond the softcap, in fact if you look at my profile in my sig (hopefully its updated me in PvE gear) Im now sitting on 842 ArP.
Now Ive ran this through Rawr and Tossks a couple of times now and the DPS difference for my two current solutions dont dffer hugely.
Option 1 is keep gemming ArP anyway since my normal attacks will still be benefitting in between my 100% ArP uptimes with GT.
Option 2 is to start gemming agility since it ups crit/AP whilst still keeping me at the hardcap.
So Im still waiting for my bloody DV to drop again since Ive missed 4 thus far AND a heroic DV (-.-)" to replace DMC:G and then ... swapping out GT is giving me some headaches ... rawr! And worse still I have Leggings of the Broken Beast waiting for me in storage whilst I wait for the gloves to drop from TOGC10. If I were to equip both those pieces and gem ArP I will be sitting on 950 ish ArP with GT ...
Any other ArP kittehs out there getting to this point or is just me?

If you can get up to 1000 passive Armor Pen (include food here if you like) then drop the Grim Toll. I use Banner of Victory and DMC:G for instance. Wasn't lucky with Death's Choice so far. And I have 998 passive ArP with food. Besides, it was annoying to depend so much on a single piece to fulfill the hit cap.
SO in your case (~950 ArP without food) I would drop Grim Toll for some other trinket. My suggestion would be Banner of Victory for even more ArP.
Just don't gem ArP over the soft cap if you still run with Grim Toll. Or else
is going to eat you alive.
