Unless OP refers to an item he/she won in a dungeon, then that item can be traded to anyone else in the group who was eligible to loot it as long as it is within 2 hours.
Which would kinda be unbinding it.
the 2 hour trade timer applies to blues or better. any greens gotten with need roll will be bound.

It also states that in the tooltip, and from what it sounds, the OP didn't mean that, but rather an item they replaced with a better one after wearing it for a while.
