You *could* do regular instances under 80, if the group didn't mind. Don't do heroic with a lvl 75 pet, though. Other than that, grind and do dailies. Especially if it can handle mobs higher level than it. I usually try to find 79-80 lvl mobs, to get the most exp per kill.
