Anyone know what's better to get? Spell damage or Crit Spell or something else? And if possible, what gear give out the most decent amount of damage out of the mage?

Hit > Damage > Crit
Get 164 +hit with the elemental precision talent for bosses and it'll help your dps a ton. Not sure what your progression level is, but the 3-piece tailoring sets along with spellfire hood/legs are awesome for mages.

Hm my experience is
hit > crit > spelldmg

For PvP, you only nead a +3% hit.
For PvE, +16% hit.
After you get to the appropriate hit cap, go spell damage, then crit.

hit > dmg > crit
1 point of dmg is greater than 1 point of crit.
I'll even give you the highest crit bonus possible for a caster, which is +145% (spell power+ignite).
Here's the math:
Avg Base Fireball @ 70: 815 dmg
22 points of crit will give you +1% crit
vs 22 dmg
Let's assume you had 25% crit before the comparision
Over 100 casts (+1% crit):
815*74 (normals) = 60,310
(815*2.45)*26 = 51,915
Total: 112,225
Over 100 casts (+22 dmg):
837*75 (normals) = 62,775
(837*2.45)*25 = 51,266
Total:
114,041
The advantage of +dmg is that it not only increases normal spell hits but crits as well.
Also, from an itemization point of view, +1 dmg is cheaper than +2 crit - compare a blue-level crit vs dmg gem - 8 rating vs 9dmg.
So hit > dmg > crit for any spec.
Note: I ignore most talents and +dmg since they don't affect this comparision.

So you're replying to my post, arguing math vs anectodal evidence from 1 fight, ook.
My math INCLUDED dots from ignite (part of the 2.45 multiplier), learn2read. And I used a 1% rate increase, but I could just as easily compare a 20% crit rate increase vs +440 dmg (same itemization budget) and see the same results, in fact, it's worse for the crit:
Over 100 casts (+20% crit):
815*55 (normals) = 44,825
(815*2.45)*45 = 89,854
Total: 134,679
Over 100 casts (+440 dmg):
1255*75 (normals) = 94,125
(1255*2.45)*25 = 76,868
Total:
170,994
My advice is to get most of your crit rate from talents, molten armor, boomkin/shaman auras and crit/+dmg gear but don't fool yourself to think that crit > dmg.

Swindley (EU-Frostwhisper) made a really nice guide on exactly what you're asking.
http://magewiki.wikispaces.com/Crit+Vs+Hit+Vs+Damage
to sum it up, hit (16%) > dmg > crit. Depending on the spec this might differ a little, but for the most common raid specs like 10/48/3 this is what you want. Even with master of elements and ignite I'd still advise you to go for +dmg over +crit.

Yeah, that's a good analysis by Swindley. With any spec, that's the precedence. It gets even worse in arenas because resilience gear will negate some of your crit but not affect your normal spell hits.
For example, a mage with 400 resilience gear (a little high I know) and molten armor would knock off 15% off your crit rate.
One thing I'd like to add though is if you do PVP and heroics as well as raid, try to segregate your hit gear from your crit/dmg gear since the +hit is wasted in heroics/pvp.
You have a base of 96% to hit other players your same level and heroic bosses are 72 so your base would be 94%. You can't exceed a 99% chance to hit, so anything more than 3% in pvp and 4% in heroics is wasted.
