Spell damage + seal of richeousness?

When playing on my friends holy s3 pally before s4 and level 60 talents came out my seal of righteousness was getting buffed by my spell power, i would have around 1k additional damage to my melee hits (not sure on this, was a while ago but i know it was where i was getting most of my damage). And now, after switching my 60 pally to holy (finally got some holy gear at 60) i don't have any bonus from my spell power? my Seal of Richeousness is only adding 37 to my normal hits, which is making my DPS horrible. I'm not expecting great DPS as holy, but im expecting something that's playable. I now understand why i basically only see ret pallies now, because holy seems absolutely useless in everything except healing raids. (Again, im not asking for much, just the ability to level up and quest as holy). Am i glitched or missing something? or did they just nerf it? Please explain this to me because i am very confused. Holy is my favorite spec and i love healing but i cant do @#$% with anything else lol.

Holy DPS is gimped compared to pre-Wrath, in my opinion. Our Single target DPS used to be much higher. I'm doing less DPS as Holy at level 80 than I was as Holy at level 70, pre-wrath.

My suggestion is to just pull a load of mobs and AoE grind them, heal yourself with Flash of Light, drop consecration. If you're getting silenced, use Holy Shock instead and Instant Flash of Lights.

Also don't forget to use Shield of Righteousness, it might not hit for as much as it does for us panzerdins but it's still something.
