Hiya.
When you have some dots, ticking on a mob, and by some way (e.g. a trinket use) your spelldamage bonus increases. Do the dots ticking on your mob, immediately get the damage bonus?
Or only the dots you
cast
from that point on, get the bonus damage, which then lasts until the end of the dot?

^^ Modifers at the caster end are determined when cast. I.E, spell damage.
Modifiers at the reciever end however are determined when the damage is dealt. I.E, if you cast coAgony on a mob, then cast haunt afterwards, each tick of CoAgony that occurs while Haunt is on the mob will recieve the benefit. This is why we always cast CoDoom a minute early on old school bosses such as curator, so that the Doom didn't detonate till the debuffs we were looking for were on the mob.
As far as I am aware the only exception to this for warlocks is immo/incin/conflag. If you cast immolate, cast incinerate, then cast conflag, the instant conflag will take effect before the incinerate lands. The incinerate still recieves the bonus damage of immolate as if it was still affecting the mob however.

So does this mean the sparks @ Malygos don't up DoT damage if you're standing in it without reapplying?
