In PvP, it is generally wise to keep the spellstone equipped most of the time. Not only can you dispel DoTs and Frost Nova, you can also dispel Silencing Shot from hunters or Silence from priests. Just watch out for Unstable Affliction since using a spellstone counts as a dispel which will proc the damage and silence from UA.

Ummm- hammer of gay?
Not sure- aren't poisons technically a spell? I'd need to test this to be sure.
It could also dispel a Paladin's Judgements, yeah? Or Repentance.
