Spirit and +Spell damage while leveling?

So while leveling 1-58 Do i want to just plain stack spirit, or should i try and get some +spell power?

When I leveled my priest I viewed at it this way: Spirit > Intellect > Stamina > Spell Damage.
Wear gear "of the Owl" and "of the Whale". Leveling went quick for both my priests when I stacked spirit, and had Spirit Tap talent in shadow.
