Now before I begin, I have a 73 priest(Disc right now) and I love playing him, but sometimes I don't really wanna heal, rather do damage, but let's just say that shadow kinda.. lacks in that area in instances, due to channels and dots(I struggle even getting VT and mind blast up in time).
My characters are:
70 kara geared hunter(Can't really play hunter anymore I think, kinda hate it.)
66 prot specced and geared warrior(It's fun, but with the DKtards let out of the cage, tanking is hell)
46 ele shammy(Fun too, but pretty tired of looking at trolls constantly, since male trolls never straighten out and trolls can't wear shoes(or atleast show them)
20 warlock(This is my best bet right now, I used to have a warlock main on my old account(Destro) and loved him to bits(and so did most of the other people in pvp, fear firelocks)
43 rogue(I used to have a rogue too on my old account, also 70 like the warlock, but didn't play him much after he got to 70, turned kinda boring)
61 death knight(I'll admit, death knight is pretty fun, but with this many DK's, I can't even bother with it)
08 mage(I made this one for fun, during a bit of altoholicsm due to all the new cool spells they got)
I'm looking mainly for something that can hold its own in pvp, and pve, without relying on so many dots, like shadow priests, so what would be my best bet(Warlock will be destro when it gets higher)

I keep telling myself I must level my Druid, but I'm loving my 'lock main and DK primary alt too much at the moment to find the time.
With the drought of decent tanks and healers all realms seem to be feeling right now, you'd never wait long for a PUG as a Druid.
Though as you seem to play Horde (as I do) I'd pick another starter area, Taurens have way too much running to do in their starter zone.
My personal choice is Eversong Woods --> Ghostlands --> Hillsbrad Foothills.

I can't play a tauren again, I used to have a 70 druid on my old account, really hated how he looked.

I'd say stick out your priest for another few levels. Once you get mind sear you can just aoe the trash with everyone else (admittedly it requires a mob to channel from, but its still light years from anything you have before then) Also with just a wee bit of haste you'll get to a point where your dots arent as crucial since you can sw:d, mb, and only need like 1 sometimes 2 mindflays before you start those over, since mind flay refreshes sw:p its not a constant mess keeping dots up.
I'd just really try to stick with it til you can try it out as shadow at 80 for a bit, it gets alot more fun :)

A friend let me try his lock rogue and shammy(all the same specs as my char but the shammy, just higher level), and boy was I surprised, destro isn't as fun as I remember it, killing spree kinda sucks(I beat his rogue as a pve disc in a duel), so I decided to try my shammy a bit again, I'll update this thread after I played him a bit more(42-45 so far)
