Stats vs dps and effects?
Return to board index
i understand that as a dps class you need to do dps, but whats with all these people ditching 30 stam and 30 agi and stuff like that for 15 more dps? its rediculous imo.
stats > dps > effects any day.
can someone make some sence of this for me?
There are two categories of stats : stamina and the rest.
Stamina is usefull in order to survive (deads don't dps, except on horde side). However, any stam you put in that has no effect on your survival is wasted.
Theoretically, dps should never get hit by mobs, making stamina useless. In reality, you need a certain amount dictated by each particular fight. It's never really a main stat though. But it's to each person to find the health level they are confortable with, there's no rule (well, except if the fight says "everyone is going to take X damage at that point")
Other stats translate directly into dps so it's a simple matter of working out wether the stats nets you more or less dps than the AP/crit/... bonus. You have to take buffs and talents which affect stats into account however (considering what situations you are likely to find yourself in).
