Stranglekelp : Fishing or Herbalism???

Is Stranglekelp obtainable by actually fishing off the shore, or swimming and grabbing it like you do with herbalism? Or is it actually an herbalism item?

It also come in crates that you fish out. But much easier as an herbalist..around 100 I think.

If you have a swim form or hook of the master angler, you can easily herbalize it. Without these, I usually fish up quite a bit hitting pools in the Barrens while getting deviate fish at the same time. For real farming, herbalism is probably the way to go (least time for most herbs). Fishing is more so you can get it while getting something else (deviate delight in my example or alchemy fish).

I used to farm Stranglekelp along the
coast of Wetlands
back when farming materials for
Nature Protection Potions
. Probably best place I've found, and not too deep so it shouldn't be too difficult to come up for breath for non-
waterbreathers
. :)
