DPM : Insect Swarm, Stafire *3
DPS : Moonfire, Wrath * x
Insect Swarm is good to keep up however unless there's a real dps pressure, since it gives additionnal avoidance for the tank.
Also, there's a point in spell dmg and with the usual raid debuffs where your starfire ends up doing more dps than wrath spam, but I don't remember the numbers.

To really find what would be

dps cycle for you I suggest taking a look at the Elitist Jerk's forums.

This thread in particular is a good place for discussion, and the first post has a link to a DPS spreadsheet in which you can enter all your gear, spec and applicable raid buffs along with the fight duration.
For my current gear level, in a 10 minute fight, raid buffed with an Elemental Shaman, Shadow Priest, and Curse of Shadows, my best DPS cycle is IS MF SFx3. Once your gear gets to be near 1200 damage raid buffed your best cycle then moves to something like MF SFx4.
But yeah, I just DoT stuff up and spam wrath on trash, its still slightly more DPS in the short term.
tl;dr version: your best dps cycle is determined by fight length, your gear, your buffs and other stuff. yeah.
