Currently Leatherworking and Jewelcrafting are quite far ahead of Engineering PvE wise.
I would say that for Alchemy it's fine too keep, it won't make much difference.
This is partly because The High-Powered Bolt Gun
currently resets your melee swing timer, which makes it a dps loss.
I would say it's worthwhile. Leatherworking is really strong at the moment because of Agility on Bracers
, and the value of base stats (like Agility) is much higher than secondary stats (Haste, Crit, Mastery etc).
Basically for Jewelcrafting you replace three Delicate Inferno Rubies
for three Delicate Chimera's Eyes
, which nets you 81 agility, 1 more than the rest of the crafting professions.
Alchemists currently gain an increase on Flask of the Winds
by 80 agility. Also, you double the duration of the buff, which saves you some gold. For content where you do not need to flask, alchemists can create Flask of Enhancement
, which can be a godsend in arenas.
TL;DR: It will be worthwhile to drop Engineering for Leatherworking, but Alchemy for Jewelcrafting makes the most minimal of differencesSauce
