I still havent leveled my Engi past around lvl 425...because Im unsure of one thing: the easiest way to level Engi is the Gnomish Army Knife...but I dont know if I want to go Gnome. In BC...if you spec'd Gnome..and wanted to switch to Goblin...you were #$%^ed. Engi isnt like the other profs where you can just switch back and forth between specializations...you had to completely RE-LEVEL Engi back from lvl 1.
My main question is...can you swap back and forth between Gnome/Goblin in WotLK? Or are you pretty much stuck with one or the other (it doesn't really matter which you go at the moment..because currently both are worthless...but Im hoping many more things will be added once large patches come out)

You actually can learn that recipe as a goblin engineer. Just because it's called one thing doesn't mean it's exclusive to that branch of engineering.

Wow ok I feel like a dumbass...thats really good to know.
But yeah...now just need to know whether or not you can swap back and forth...for when better gnome only or goblin only recipes come out

Quite a few neat toys that you can make with the engineering specs can be used after the switch, so it's not a total loss.
i doubt Blizz wants picking a spec to be an arbitrary thing. I think they want you to think a bit more before doing it.
