Tanking addiction

Yea...it sounds a little masochistic, but it seems that I dread playing a DPS class. I stick with my Tankadin 90% of the time, and when I am not on him, I level a full tanking DK. On the top of all that, my paladin has a full healing set (and a full ret, but I was for about a week in my life, to farm some pets), and I more than delighted to heal instead of tank. Both are equally good for me. Now, DPS... I have a hunter, an elemental shaman, a warrior and a druid, all in their 60s, and I just can't bring myself to play them. They die. Not to mention that if I hit a tank that's undergeared compared to me, I hate slowing or stopping my DPS down so they can regain threat.

Most people can't play tanks or healers, because it's too slow. Am I the only one who can't play DPS?

As a control freak, tanking really appeals to me. Just knowing that I have the group's lives in my hands makes me feel like a god!

Just knowing that I have the group's lives in my hands makes me feel like a god! i understand you and as ArgentSun said: i dont like when my life is in others hand, as a tank i know instance very good and know how to keep agro, but when i see another tank tanking i am worried that he will do some mistake :)

I seriously feel like a waste of space if I am not Tanking or Healing.
When I DPS I can't help saying to myself I could be Watching TV or reading websites and these people wouldnt even notice or care.
DPS is very lazy in my opinion , when I see a DPS'er I just feel they are a easy mode player and only care about themselves.
I know that is not true but it is how they appear to me regardless.

I'm with you I much prefer tanking (warrior) to DPS (lock) althought it's fun to just kick back and not worry about more than one target now and again, it's much more gratifying to grab 6 mobs and keep them all on your while still doing good damage and be the crucial factor in the party's success. Plus marking which I used to hate is actually kinda fun now :)
