Hi guys
I just have a quick question that i have't been able to find answers for so far and i was hoping you can help me with.
Is there a cap on the amount of mastery dk's should be going for as tanks? I would also like to know if there is a point at which DR makes going for avoidance a better bet than mastery in terms of survivability.

To start out, there is no cap for mastery, so stack it like there's no tomorrow. As far as I can tell, at the moment, mastery is much better for us than avoidance. It gives reliable healing AND mitigation. It isn't RNG based, so is much more "trustworthy" than avoidance if you will. Diminishing returns make avoidance less viable the more you stack it, whereas mastery has no diminishing returns and only increases survivability even further.
The above make clear why most times, a piece of DPS gear with mastery is better than a piece of tank gear without mastery (of the same ilvl)
Hope this helps!

There is no cap except that which it is physically possible to achieve, so take as much as it as you can without sacrificing socket bonus's or letting your health pool fall too low.

No no no. The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything is... 42.
(See what I did there.)
