Tauren Hunter: Taming the Beast. NEED HELP!

Alrighty. Well.

I have recently started the Taming the Beast on my Tauren Hunter's account. Unfortunately, as I went to go and tame the Swoop, as required, my little rod ran out of charges. How do I get the charges back, or, rather, recharge it?

Abandon the quest and then pick it up again from the quest giver.

Boy, been awhile since I did that starting questline, so let me throw out a few ideas here to help you.

Put the taming rod on your hot bar somewhere- you should have a range indicator on it. Try to tame the swoop from your furthest point you can, so that way it takes some time to get up to you.

If nothing else, try to see if a higher-level hunter may be able to lend a hand and put an ice trap out for you.
