Namine screamed, barely managing to dive out of the way of the lightning as it arced towards the Senators. The gnome was fried instantly, killed where he stood reaching for the doorway. One of the other Senators was struck, but not fatally, while the others managed to avoid the blast, reaching for their blasters to shoot on the assassin.
The daedorei ran for the door.

Very quickly, before anyone, aside from the daedorei Ambassador, had managed to move, all seven Senators in the room had been killed. Namine was rushing down the corridor, shouting for anybody who would listen.

The rest of the conversation with General Gearza proceeded as well as expected, which wasn't very much. The General had R-1's datacore taken to the SpecForce engineers to be put into a new, better body. However, Gearza was unable to say anything else before the holoterminal began beeping loudly.
"
General, we have an issue we think you will want to hear about...
" the man on the other end stated, before rushing straight into Namine's account of the Senators' assassinations.
"..." Gearza closed her eyes and sighed. "It appears that this has already escalated, then," the gnome turned to the SpecForce soldiers. "It's time you learned what that data was for, as I'm going to need you all to fix what damage is being done."
Kaless narrowed her eyes.

Lerra walked quickly through the hallways of the compound, in the direction of the hangers, she looked in Silvia's direction every now and again. "So, what brings you to the Cabal then?" she asked Xain as they walked, the hangar guards standing aside to let them pass.

"And what exactly is the Shadow Empire?" Lerra asked in an inquiring tone. In truth knew more than most about the draconum, but for the most part the race was still a mystery to her. Supposedly they claimed to be the descendants of dragons.

"It is the collaboration of planets that practice the shadow arts without fear of the templar." He said leaving out a few details. "It is led by our Empress and now she has decided that all that oppose her will must fall and that the Cabal will make great allies in our coming conquest." He added.

The bounty hunter's mouth curved into a faint smile, noting how Xain had kept his answer brief and vague. Suddenly she remembered they still did not know the draconum's name, "and you are?" she asked him.
