Actually, it's not until November 8th, thank God.
Sanderson will be doing a book signing at the Provo Library, so I'm going to get it signed!

Bahaha.
I think that was the worst fantasy series I've ever read.

You read it? I stopped very quickly.

I need to read The Omen Machine.
Hopefully I can still remember what happened in the previous ones, it's been a while.
On a side note, I really don't like Heart of Darkness. I have to read it for school, and it's pretty hard to understand.

Just recently finished reading this book:
The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement
It's really good, it takes a lot of new discoveries into how us as humans work. especially the brain and subconscious areas, and a story is made out of it to more easily digest all this information. On a side note, I really don't like Heart of Darkness. I have to read it for school, and it's pretty hard to understand.
I had to read that book for school as well. Only read about half, but I thought it was amazing. Loved the idea of how the farther you go away from civilization, the crazier you become. The entire time I read it I was picturing the
Northern Barrens
. XD

You do not need to remember all the details of previous books to read the Omen Machine - it is not a part of the Sword of Truth series like the books up to and including Confessor were.
Seriously, read it.
Now.

I've decided I want to read HP Lovecraft: A Life, just to see how his life compared to Poe's.

I read The Road, Blood Meridian, and the Border Crossing trilogy All by Cormac Mcarthy all in one week once and lost all faith in humanity.

About to reach page 600 in Inheritance, and so far it's looking like
it'll be a damn good book

I might read it, but it's certainly not going to be a priority.

For Paolini, it's far from his worst. I'd say it is his best; but I've always been very weak for elves and dragons and major big bad showdowns in general, so I guess no - I do not jest.

Whoa. Hold on. It picks up right where Confessor ended, so technically one could argue it is technically part of the Sword of Truth series.
HOWEVER:
-As Oz said, it requires very little previous reading experience, ALTHOUGH it does help a lot. (To understand the backstory of each character involved, etc)
-The Omen Machine is confirmed to be part of a story arc (which I bet will ultimately explain why the Rahl line ends <<< I suspect Richard Rahl steps down and becomes Richard Amnell, which would also confirm what happens in Law of Nines, where Jax is a distant descendant of Kahlan.

I'm liking the book more or less so far, but it seems predictions about what will happen are becoming more and more right.
Did you expect me to actually post them here?

I finished Inheritance and...
The ending is so bittersweet, it made me cry inside.
>> Do not highlight the below spoiler if you're still reading this series <<
The dream Eragon has in the first book during the chapter "Deathwatch" all comes to pass. It was a premonition.

Just finished the Death Cure by James Dashner. A good end to the Maze Runner series, imo.
