Look, it's simple. Pandaren are a mythical race, they're *not* panda's. The indians don't have a problem with Tauren, which really I'd expect to be a bigger issue, so it seems perfectly reasonable to me that the Chinese will be normal, civilised people over this and not make a faff.

Yes, let's also add abortions and incest in WoW. I can see Rogues getting a new Womb Gouge ability (obviously with a dagger called The Miscarrier of Death) and a Recruit-a-Brother offer that gives you a 10% discount on any applicable sex lodge in your zip code area, and if he's younger than 8 you get a free calendar too.

That will obviously hold up.

Also: I think that the Chinese are overreacting because Perfect World is available in China and allows panda death, I think. Nevertheless, it's a joke race and I don't think it should be made playable... maybe fightable in an instance that you don't kill it?

Here's what I find sad though. Pandareans from speculation would be an alliance race... and I wanna be one! Conflict!I think they sound more like a horde race, seeing as how they left azeroth due to night elves becoming to powerhungry. Maybe they could be a nuetral race, some returned to thier night elf brethren, some went to hang out with the tauren they heard were like minded in thier appreciation for nature.

The dragon is the national symbol of Wales, but you don't see Welsh people bitching and crying about being able to kill dragons. That's because they are not butt-hurt, control-freak midgets like the Chinese government are.

Because East = West except weird faces.

Also they have to do because they are the sensitivities of the American populace.

Could they meddle with them? Sure, as well they could with adding kids to be killed or ^&*!. Do they? No, because they don't want to handle the rap. It happens all the time.

Heh, If Only...... *shakes head* anyway, Pandaren IMO are, Indeed an interesting race to impliment in SOME way in an expansion. I know the chinese Gov't Would be %^&*ed, but aren't people offended at Blizz for people killing, well, basically any killable "beast" in the game? ( I count oozes and slimes in that catigory as someone would be offended by them dying, I know.) But, It's gonna happen in this society, where everyone has to watch out what they say/do as to not offend people, but hell, people still get offended! If someone thinks otherwise, go ahead, I dont care.

P.S. BTW kudos to Ya Nukedoom on that link. now i crave oriental now.....

Took this long to get the right answer, as cool as a Pandarian Druid going Bear Form, or Pandarian Mage using Polymorph would be, it's not gonna happen

./vote Horde gets a Worgen race & Alliance gets some Nerubian race or something, so long as Horde gets Worgs

The "whole China thing" is that while Pandas are Chinese creatures, Blizzard are dressing them and making their lore more Japanese than Chinese. The Chinese Communist government have threatened with lawsuits and other things if they implement them in WoW. Blizzard have said that they can change Pandaren into more Chinese creatures an have begun a transformation of the race but China apparently doesn't think it's enough.

Blizzard's usual anti copyright-trick of renaming animals (i.e. Zhevra, Crocolisk) doesn't work because it's not a copyright case.
