Human - sword expertise, diplomacy, perception (in order of importance to me, obviously I'm more concerned with raiding bonuses). Leatherworking (for drums mainly) + Skinning, considering dropping the skinning for enchanting for the ring enchants.

Okay, everyone has a reason they chose their race whether it i the racial , the look or even the base stats. I would like to think most checked out the forum and read the stickies before doing so.
Not until I'd been playing for a few weeks (since I didn't know WoWHead existed at first).
If not , oh well, but if you did you saw the breakdown and the opinions on which race is best.
Not a very good breakdown. Just lore and one liners about the racial abilities - and the "Good for all classes, no specific benefit to Rogues." attached to Dwarves for Find Treasure (I'd call being able to spot locked footlockers on the minimap a rather good benefit for Rogues - but of no benefit at all to the other classes) makes me question the credibility of what little information (and there isn't much, actually) is in the Choosing a Race sticky...

I chose an orc rogue. Great for PVE, average for PVP. Blood Fury is nice for a burst dmg and will increase your dps in PVE. Orcs make better warriors and hunters IMO. Regret not taking Undead, but for PVE raids and instance, Blood Fury is nice. Sure you recieved 50% less healing, but in a raids/instances, you are not the center of attention of the healer anyway. In PVP, you'd most likely use it during a stun lock. I chose orc cause they don't look wimpy. And certainly look more like a thug than a ninja LOL.
Here's why I'd rather take undead:
Undead. WotF. Better to use this for fear and save trinket for a cyclone or blind. Ultimate PVP rogue IMO. Nothing worse than getting bombarded with fear by a warlock. When you get feared by a warlock, priest, and warrior is when you regret not chosing Undead. Cannabilize may serve you great when your bandaging is on cooldown. I found myself sometime wanting to bandage, but cant cuz it's a 1 min CD. So you can rotate between Cannabilize and Bandaging.
At first I took Engineering and Enchanting. Engineering doesn't benefit rogue that much at early stages. Enchanting is a nice bonus where you can enchant and disenchant your own stuff. And then I realize that there's 2 enchanters in our guild already and the +4 stats ring was not all that appealing to keep enchanting. And thanks to Guild Bank, shards and voids were easily accessible when the enchanters weren't available. So I took Leatherworking (Elemental of course) and Skinning. Which benefits me alot in early stages. Once I hit 70 and farmed enough leather, I dropped Skinning for Jewelcrafting which was great cause the rings/amulet sells nicely for some returns to buy more mats. The Panther trinket is plain awesome using it with Blood Fury, and I'm still wearing the Primal Strike set (Which probably last you past Karazhan). So instead of using badges to buy Bloodlust Brooch, you can craft the Panther Trinket which IMO is better anyway.

I went BE female cause I wanted to mess around in the starting area on an alt and suddenly my rogue was 20 levels ahead of evryone else haha, though I def wish I had rolled an UD rogue if for nothing else but the laugh. Though my top choice woulda been Tauren rogue LOL

I went with orc just because I was such a non-conformist. Everyone and their grandmas were rolling UD, thought I'd be different. Trolls are a big no-no in my book, so the only option left was orc. Female orcs are teh sex.
