Tehwarlocknub:
You seem like a nice guy that just wants to be helpful. (Unless you are trolling, and its hard to tell sometimes because there is less tone set in writen word.)
If you are just trying to be helpful, I would remind you, as some others have already, that the wowhead feedback forum is specifically here to give feedback on the site, point out bugs, or suggest ideas. You have done great so far with 5 decent ideas. The mods have answered the ones they can, and if you give it time, might add some more in the future. If you feel that the mods have not taken your ideas into consideration, you can ask again, but give them time, wait a week, and then come back. You never know, in a weeks time you might have thought of more ideas, or a way to improve the ones you already have.
In the mean time. As Onimushua said the
Drop by and say Hi! (Recycle Bin)
topic, is a great place to talk about your ideas and anything else that has happened to you or others during the day or night.
My contribution to stay on topic
I think a personal mail system would work really well if implimented correctly. You are one of many, including myself, who have suggested it, and we all can only hope that the reason its not here yet, is because the Wowhead staff is taking their time to get us a really good version of it.
Making a new topic is a bit more complex than a reply (replies can be deleted). So making a new topic take a little more certainty, and with that certainty is the expectation that you knew what you were doing when you posted. While the moderators have a lot of work, I'm sure it would be more work for them, if people started to ask about deleted topics that have disappeared. If a topic is not relevant it will be locked, and with in a few days, it will no longer be on the front page of a section, and out of sight is out of mind.
Blocking people from reading or posting a topic, might be useful if used in the right ways. More often than not, this feature would be use negatively and people might feel segregated or offended if they are not allowed to contribute to a certain topic. Private messaging might solve some privacy if implemented on wowhead, but one of the best things of these forums is that the information in them is open for all
There already is a ^&*!ing system. (example lol) You won't see your words censured until you finalize your post. There are certain ways around the system, but usually moderators will step in an edit or delete posts if that happens. If you ever feel that the language of a post is harassing, insulting, or vulgar use the "report" link on that reply.
While a bot or walk-through utility may be too much work for a small benefit, maybe a post called "Welcome to Wowhead" might be a good idea. In it one could read all the cool things that the regulars have picked up since they first joined, and newer members would have a better idea of what wowhead can do for them.
Cheers,
Hat

6. A kind of topic called WoW Off-topic
For those wondering, this might've been in relation to
this thread
. As in, I think he wants a thread to post all those "Facebook/Twitter Status Updates", that has a tendency to pop every once in a while.
I'm going to leave it at that, and see what "those above me" says about it.

I like the idea of having a WoW Off-Topic, but the updates will still have to be more substantial than talking about what spec you have and so on. In that vein, I feel some of these posts opened by the person in question would still be moderated.
Still, I'd like other people's thoughts. I'm thinking of a WoW Random thread where people post what they want a la Twitter or a blog, no theme needed; rants allowed within reason.
A good post example:
"Oh man, just got sniped on Posideus. =( I think I'm going to try heroic MgT, hopefully the mount drops THERE at least."
A bad post example:
"I will play WoW today yay spec?"
Yay/nay?
