I'm starting completely fresh when the servers open today, so I uninstalled everything related to WoW (except for WoW itself). Upon downloading a fresh Wowhead_Client and putting it in my WoW folder (which is in my "normal" Program Files now instead of the (x86) one because I'm OCD with 64bit programs) it cannot find WoW. When asked to browse for it, I select the Wow-64.exe file and I get the error in the title. I try the Wow.exe file and get the same error. Is there something I'm missing?
EDIT: Nevermind. There really is a registry issue if you simply move an installation folder. Spent the last 30 minutes changing every old WoW path to the new one. Once I was done, Wowhead_Client was like "oh, there it is". Derp.

I have another oddity I believe is related to the issue. Wowhead_Client works just fine, collects data, and uploads automatically when WoW closes, but whenever I go into the options, it says the Live path is invalid. It still works though even after saying that when the options close. Just thought I'd report that. My install is still in the 64bit Program Files.

Hi Kanegasi,
The reason for this is a change in the file name from the pre-patch Launcher.exe to the current World of Warcraft Launcher.exe.
This will require a Client Update on our end and you will be unable to launch WoW from the client. However, it should still collect data and upload normally.
Until then, further discussion can be kept in
this
thread. Thank you!
