Thoughts on future hero classes?

edit: i missunderstood, they had said a new hero class every EXPANSION. the new hero class every patch rumor is news to me and think its just that, a rumor

possibilities imo:

priestest of the moon
shadowhunter
blademaster
aaaaaand... spellbreaker?

you can rule out classes from lore that are too similar to current classes, such as a farseer (obviously a shaman)

these ideas of course are in between other classes, but spaced evenly enough between to be different. such as a blademaster being semi rogue+warrior like (DW clothie rogue minus the poisons plus party buffs?), or priestest of the moon being druid+hunter like.

and they are prominent in lore as heroes.

I was thinking along the same lines. What I really wanna see is something like a Sage. Battle mage, so to speak. Like, maybe a warrior+mage, DW staves or something.

perhaps rolling that idea in with spellbreakers would create a good hero class. i dont know as much about spell breakers, but from what i understand they are melee casters that focus on interupts. somewhat like a caster rogue.

personaly i think of my suggestion, priestest of the moon would help the most with class balance. As DKs were introduced, we were given a dps/tank. now we are in need of a dps/healer class. I would LOVE to see blademasters next out of all of them, but its a pure dps class with only small potential for self-healing.

I wanted to play a Hero Blademaster for the longest time (usually picked that in multi War3 maps), but not anymore. I think they gave a lot of the Blademaster abilities to other classes, take for example Mage Mirror Images.

I think the next Hero class will be a spell caster of some sort. They already did the DK thing, which is sorta more melee than caster. Perhaps the 2nd Hero class will be another hybrid, but I think it will be more caster oriented.

DK's brought a 4th tanking class into the game. I think Tanks and Healers were short on demand during TBC and even so now. The next Hero class will probably be able to heal.

If they make a healing/assist/cc hero class, i will reroll in a heartbeat.

Yea I think a healing hero class would be a very good idea, and very beneficial to to the pve side of the game. Since WotLK a lot of people rolled DK's and there are a lot of tanks available, and barely any healers :P i will admit i rolled a DK to go tankage myself, my main is a resto shaman (love it!) and i have been wanting to raise a tank for a while, got a level 22 prot warrior, 18 prot palli, and 18 feral druid lmao, but i could never bring myself to level them, thank blizz we finally got a class that can tank and doesnt need to be lvled from 1 :D now that there isnt so much of a shortage of tanks anymore, a hero healing class would be just the motivation for people to lvl healers ;) the shortage of healers on my server has been so bad lately that i have initiated a "sponsor a healer" event in my guild where if peeps are serious about raising a healer to raid for the guild i will pay for their mounts lol XD

I still support the idea of a Dragonkin - Healer, DPS, and Utility (Red, Yellow, Green) as far as talents go.
