Tol Barad and being flagged for PvP
Return to board index
First off good evening to all of you.
This post is part a question, and part curiosity of how others feel. The question is stemming from a conversation I've had multiple times with my guild mates. I've only been playing this game for a little over a year, and was unable to find this while searching through the forums.
My question is when WotLK came out, was Wintergrasp an autoflag zone in regards to PvP. As I was leveling up and looking forward to the world PvP aspect that used to be provided in Wintergrasp. I enjoyed the idea of fighting with the Alliance as we both pined after the same titanium node, or frost lotus flower. I was farming for leather off the crocs when the Alliance had won Tol Barad and eventually I came across some folks who wanted to kill me for being there, rightfully so. I had been flagged from a FTH city raid, and forgot to unflag. Even still, it was for me plenty of fun sneaking in as my druid, and killing someone, then getting fragged by his friend, then trying to sneak around as I scooped up all the scraps from the non-skinners getting their dailies done.
This is where the curiosity comes in. Do any of you with more years logged think that one day Tol Barad may have the same zone wide flagging that Wintergrasp did, and what would be your opinion if it did happen. Do you think it would make the dailies more challenging, or would it be more of a nuisance. As you can most likely tell, I would like to see it happen, but I know I'm one of those PvP server bodies trapped on a non PvP server since that is where all my friends currently play.
Any opinions, insights, critiscisms(other than my playing on a cupcake server) will be greatly appreciated.
Probably not; seeing as the opposite faction has no reason to enter TB proper when they don't control it. Even when WG was in the hands of the opposite faction, you still had the weekly quests available at the Flight masters....TB, not so much.

Alright, thank you very much, and honestly I didn't think of it from either of those two perspectives. Other than to mess with the other faction there is no reason for the losing faction to even be in Tol Barad. I do like it as it currently is, and don't see any benefit from them combining the two zones. I've been through the BC content quite a few times, but never with it being very active, so I've never really experienced the PvP zone there. But once again I wanted to thank you both for your opinions.
