Just pay attention to the group mix. Heavy melee, sacrifice WoA for WF. Lots of caster dps, go ToW and stand closer to the mobs and spam EB and Frost shock to control rogue mobs until agro is regained. SoE is better for trash pulls rather then SS, but it's entirely preference.
I'd say just ask your party what they want and go with that. It's the versatility of the Shaman that makes them so unique. I think I speak for every shaman here that having several totem macro's preset for different situations is invaluable. They aren't hard to set up and make it a lot easier to concentrate on the fight at hand, whether PvE, raiding, or PvP.
