Trying to change my chat pane

Hi,
I've been trying to clean up the chat pane but I can't seem to do the simple things...
I'd like to resize it and move it slightly as at the moment it's not the best use of space. I'd like to clean up it's appearance too regarding the tabs at the top. I've tried the XanChat addon but I cant get that to work out and I can't get the default UI settings to help much either. The Prats addon looks extensive but I still couldn't get it to do the simple things I need.
Could anyone recommend a simple addon that would help?

You've always been able to move and resize the chat frame, so that shouldn't be an issue.
And about the tabs, I'm not so sure... Personally I've never had an issue with the tabs... The only chat add-on that comes mind is Chatter maybe check that out.
Go to curse addons and see what's in their chat category.

Cheers for the advice, I downloaded chatter which seems to give a clean enough chat box. I might try Prats too.
