A little wordy, but basically spot on.
I want to emphasize this section:
Figure out how you are going to get that BoP gear first, because many times it means grinding rep or running instances (usually many runs to get some pieces). Start grinding/instances early because you never know how many runs or how much time/experience it will take.
You could get lucky and get it on the first drop, or it could take 20 runs. Especially if the drop you want is a BoP from a rare mob (the best blues are, sadly).
