The above build is my personal recomendation based on using a fairly similiar build for tanking. The general idea of the build is to give you sustainable DPS that, within the bounds of threat generated by the tank, will keep going and going. Your primary attack is Scourge Strike for the bonus critical, with the occasional Death Strike to top your HP up mid fight and you should generate at least 1200dps at level 80 using only quest reward gear (I certainly get 900 with a similar build when tanking!)
