Unholy rotation? (and gear question)

Leveling as unholy(wife is blood) and I've noticed I keep dying... or getting super close to dying.
We are level 60/61, just now in hellfire. I can kill rediculously fast, but for some reason, I just can't keep my hp's up.
So I ask...
1) What is the general rotation for unholy spec skills?
2) What type of gear does an unholy go for? (ie: do I still aim for dps/str/crit or do I go for spellpower?
3) At 60, should I be trying to get any talents from other specs beyond unholy? Currently I'm not.
4) Is 2 blood spec'd DKs easier to level than 1 blood/1unholy?
I understand that all responses are opinions, and look forward to hearing what you all think. I'm torn about using the same spec as her, since we'll theoretically be fighting for the same equip(unless we all need the same type, see question 2 above).
Thanks in advance.
((here is my spec:

Well, I will attempt to give you some aid, but I need to know a few things:
First, how do you kill mobs; Blood is more centered around single target DPS, whereas Unholy can truly shine with at least 4 mobs on you.
Second, when you are out grinding, what is your rotation? A good way to die, especially when not Blood, is to not be using Death Strike when you should. Your wife will not really have to worry about ever doing this, but you will. You will also have to eat, whereas she probably will not.

Make sure you get unholy blight on your next talent point, since you didn't get it last level.
If you want to do a nice AoE grind-down, you'll actually use your FU runes on death strikes a bit more often than scourge strikes.
I tend to ride around, gather up about 4-5 mobs, lay down my death and decay, then IT - PS - Pestilence (If I'm still waiting for some mobs to catch up to me, i'll start the IT-PS-Pest first, then D&D). I check my health, because in 3 seconds, I can either do Scourge Strike, or Death Strike. If I'm more than 2k down in health, Death Strike + Unholy Blight, or Scourge strike + Unholy blight.
My blood runes are for Blood Strike, but if I have 4 mobs alive with diseases, I'll blood boil instead, it still converts the death rune.

I generally do IC-PS-Pest-BB-BS-SS-BS-SS (if low on health, I'll DS anytime in the BS/SS period)
If I have anything left I'll throw a DC in or two. I rarely remember to D&D yet, as I just got the skill. I'll try dropping it more often.
We mainly have ~4 mobs on us at a time. By the end of it, I'm around 1k health(outta 4k-ish). Nearly every time I pull aggro instantly, which just eats me up.
If I drop
On a Pale Horse
, what should I get instead? Thinking about dropping
Gargoyle
too.
the reason for dropping the Pale horse is that going 20% faster on your mount is insanely annoying when ALWAYs in a party. She can't follow me unless I constantly stop, etc. Will be great at 80 when we aren't grouped 99% of the night, but for now I need to drop it.

If you're getting down to 1k, you need to Death strike more, and plague strike less. See if you can get your hands on the Glyph of Death Strike, and a Minor glyph of Pestilence. really helps out.

Can only repeat what my fellow DK's have said, don't drop Gargoyle it's really great if you can keep it up for the full minute. If you're getting down to 1K but surviving - that's awesome - after you are so low don't stop to eat / bandage, just do single pulls and regen from them using death strike, effectively you only should need to kill 2 or 3 and you'll be back on full health.
