yeah i know another how to tank as a DK thread. well guess what. you find 235235 of those around the internet and they all say the same thing. its hard for people to understand a lot of the mumbo jumbo in these threads and a lot to sift through.

i helped 5 or more DK's on my sever and i got tired of saying the same aspects of DK tanking over and over again. so i made a short and sweet and to the point how to.

keep in mind this is very quick and dirty. but thats just how i like it and im sure a lot of others with questions will to.

Personally, come the next patch, I'll be using the following build

The build logic behind it is to maximise both my ability to resist damage, and still maintain a decent damage output whilst doing so hence the blend of tanking and DPS talents.

Whilst Lichbourne is a nice thought in any tanking build, I've never found it particularly nessercary and you have to pick up some less than useful talents to get it. The dips into the Blood tree are useful for boosting your overall attack power, and Rune Tap is handy for getting Blade Barrier up as it's not on the GCD.

Yeah, if you're personal preference is to keep Improved Icy Touch (and I can see arguements why), then yes, the only thing I'd do with that is switch the points from Dirge into Butchery, because for me it's always generated more Runic power in the long run and is more reliable.
