Well, since the Blizzard Bear mount has a murloc on it holding a "Blizz" flag, that's not much of a stretch. I think they make a great mascot.

Murlocs! I'd love for the Murloc to be Blizzard's mascot; they are way too cute and everyone has oh-so fond memories of
grinding on them at level 8 and dieing to them
