Very nice guide =)
But just wanted to point out that Soul Link can't be dispelled, you mentioned several times in the Hunter section that it can be.

Sorry, I meant that Hunters can burn your pet down really quickly before you notice, thus losing SL, will edit, thanks.

Pretty good guide so far. I did not read it through entirely, but I really like this kind of contribution. Formatted & organized, =) Good work!

I'm surprised to not see mana drain talked too much about (against resto druids in particular).
I am wondering because i had an arena match yesterday where i was specced resto (resto druid with PvE spec/gear, and ~100 res as i only collected moonkin arena stuff), where i ended up solo against a paladin and a demo warlock (1500 rating match). This lasted more than 12 minutes and mainly ended because i became sloppy with my hots, thus becoming vulnerable to a burst effort.
I'm not disputing the fact that they were bad and should have killed me sooner.
My question is about mana drain, which the lock used only 4-5 times but did hurt my mana pool quite a bit. I was making my best to be on the opposite side of the pillar (Nagrand arena) to minimize drains and sadly for him, i had my innervate coming back right at that time, so got full mana again.
And then he stopped using it...
Shouldn't it be the primary tool to try to use against any class with high healing efficiency rather than trying to burst them down with a spec that doesn't necessarily allow for bursts ?
There's less pillar humping in bgs which would help the locks dps somewhat, but it seems to me that even on relatively open field it should be a weapon of choice. (as a druid, i'd avoid the confrontation or find a pillar to hump rather than stay on open field, but that's another problem)

Mana Drain has been nerfed into uselessness seeing as how it is affected by resilience, and any Druid who isnt a moron will simply shift into bear form after stacking a few HoTs on himself, canceling the mana drain (seeing as Druids can't be drained in feral forms).

Bgs aren't the place where i'd expect to find 400 resilience people normally.
Regarding morphing, i certainly have a wrong perspective as I'm not PvP specced (ie no Natural Shapeshifter), but even ~600 mana on morph should make the druid end up with the same mana spent than having been fully drained, and bear is not going to allow that druid to escape anywhere he could not have gone in caster form.
You have more stamina but chances to get your hots dropped through a DC, fear or stun, so i'm not sure how much it'd help.

Yeah but the passive mana regen that Resto Druids have is insane, it doesnt really matter if they blow 600 to shift to bear form when they will regen it while being healed and behind a shell of high armor to boot. They should have their mana regen halved while in feral forms imo, with a talent deep in the Feral tree that allows full regen.

Mana regen in bear form or in caster is going to be the same, and the armor will only apply for felguard damage (for a few seconds in a fight that could last several minutes). There's also going to be a damage reduction through 25% more life on spells, but there again i'm not persuaded that that's going to change anything in favor of the druid, compared to the risk of LB stacks blooming.
Staying in bear form longer, you'd really lose the hot advantage, wouldn't have much of a damage increase, and be very vulnerable to a stun/fear if you wait too long (especially if the instant heal is down).
(i'm not saying i'm right and you're wrong, i'm just trying to understand why that warlock didn't use mana drain consistently and why it's not mentionned in your strats)

Simply because using any of the Lock's Drain spells is like a huge neon sign saying "INTERRUPT ME" or be silenced or any of the other numerous ways to counter a channelled spell. One of the main advantages of most Lock arena specs is that they are only reliant on insta-cast spells because of this fact. The only real time you can actually drain someone is if they are feared, and with its tendency to break coupled with diminishing returns it becomes pointless to try, especially at higher brackets.
