First of all you have a meta built but you dont play with felguard. You have a felguard dont you? Intercept his dps dmg boost and damage reduction are valuable. Then you sound like fighting 2 vs 1. Who where your partners?

Warlocks at pvp are like a very big train. They go slow at the begining but when they start they are unstopable.

Wait to hit 80 and craft the resiliance pvp items. You will see great difference then.

If those fights were 2v1, don't expect to win.

1v1, tough call... they could be better geared than you. In my experience (although I mostly did BGs) I haven't found levels to be that much of a factor since i think it really depends on your bracket and the gear available for that level.

60-69, 70-79 not much of a difference since between those brackets you are probably wearing the same gear.
but between, for example 69-70, and 79-80 can be a HUGE difference because 70 is where all those epics come in from BC, and 80 for LK. So those four quantitative levels you've mentioned isn't that much of a factor. A few stat points and a couple hundred hitpoints.... almost negligable, IMO.

But yea,
....being locked up in stuns while they slit your throat....
....Being beaten to a pulp when your opponent is bubbled....
....being snared while you're getting ripped to shreds...
... having your fears resisted/immuned/trinketed
